It was always going to be a tough start to the season for us, compounded by an injury crisis, a return of six points from the first week has been excellent in the circumstances. With Moxey back from suspension, Warren on the pitch again and Kerr there or thereabouts then we now have cover in defence and flexibility in the formation and how we line up with 4-4-2 possibly suiting us more.
Not that we are out of the woods yet as no Umerah on Saturday and Nelson still a few weeks away but at least no square pegs in round holes.
Typically, we play a team that is again coming off a good win although I see that they scored three against Woking in the last 10 minutes so maybe a fitness issue for them, 3 in a week while only the second for Chesterfield.

To be serious contenders you need to be able to ride out storms, retain belief and be consistent. I think by the end of the month and after seven games we will have a pretty good idea of where we are. Hope we can retain some freshness - some will relish two games a week others will not be so keen and may struggle with the intensity. Hoping Nelson will be the answer up front and glad to hear its injury and not a falling out as some have suggested. With Moxey back and looking match ready and fit its likely Jake Andrews will start on the bench. Jake seems to have suffered most from the long lay off, just his make up I'm sure but is certain to want improve his match fitness further. Big plus has been all three loanees, each making a big contribution. With the return of Warren and Moxey its begining to look like a proper back line hope Warren can stay fit and maintain the form we know hes capable of. Hope we can build on yesterdays result but it sure wont be easy against another dormant ex football league giant.

link - good review of the previous Chesterfield match on their web site and well worth a read. Looks like Woking were the better team for a large part of the game winning the corner count 11-1.... Chesterfield initially lined up with wing backs but changed formation to counter the wing play of Chesterfield. I hear that both Hall and Umerah were both rested at the weekend and should be available tomorrow. link - Nice to see Cameron made it into the team of the week. He is now coming into his own as a defender and destined to play at a higher level I feel.

All set to watch the live stream again tonight. Saving my streaming match fees for the home fixtures and to benefit the club. Desperately missing the atmosphere of a live evening match - nothing like it and guess it stems from when we played all of our Saturday games at home KO 7.30 back in the mid 1960's. I do wonder if the service is likely continue once fans are permitted to return to the terraces its an obvious stream for additional regular revenue for very little outlay. These days I'm increasingly more reluctant to stand on the terraces for two hours on a cold winters night and would guess many of the older generation supporters are. Plenty of potential around the country and the globe also though we would need to tweak and improve the service a little and not offer such a generous discount or we may end up with just a few hundred on the terraces for each game. There are surely ways around any obstacles and the potential for increased income would surely justify the possibility of it being explored further. I also feel there is a danger that even once fans are allowed back into grounds many may well have lost interest, just gotten out of the habit or will still feel vulnerable and would have found other things to do. It will be interesting to see the crowd figures when it happens and reckon that clubs struggling will suffer the most. It's more important than ever we keep the kettle boiling and keep supporters interested. If I recall we lost both fixtures to struggling Chesterfield last season with demoralising 0-3 home defeat in December. Surely we can turn the tables tonight.

Looking forward to this after Saturday’s display. Moxey in at left back surely. I’d leave Warren on the bench. Would like to see 4-2-3-1 with Hall and Randell holding, Nemane, Lemonheigh-Evans and Whitfield behind Wright.

Stream started at 7.35. Would be good if they put something up starting earlier even if just old highlights. If you have IT issues, not much time to fix if you find out less than ten mins from kickoff. Bromley were excellent in that respect.

1 - 1 ht. Think we created more and better chances but Chesterfield have given it a good go to get back in the game. Hopefully we can have a similar second half to Saturday as the game becomes more stretched.

Whilst the quality of the coverage of the match is good, compared with Bromley's streaming on Saturday this is pretty average. Bromley made theirs into a three hour football show and their commentators were mindful of fans of Torquay watching. If I were a Chesterfield fan I'd be pretty disappointed by now. And now there's nothing to see or hear over half-time. Bromley filled their half-time with content.

Enjoyable first half we look sharp and Chesterfield also look dangerous.
Not sure how this one will pan out. Only criticism was our free kicks around their area were a bit unimaginative and they showed us just how to do it with a bit more deception and thought in the execution.
