4 on the bench including a young lad ☹️ Jacob Wellington started away at Frome in the FA Trophy. I'm unable to add any more to that sentence...

1-0 down after 10 minutes. One above the drop zone - Eastbourne and Truro both ahead. That extra point deduction could yet come into play Horrible memories of our last day relegation from League one at Colchester.

With the exception of Dartford losing all other results are against us. Taunton winning at Farnborough.

Been out all day and complete forgot about match thread. Hardly worth it anyway Rob.... Squeaky bum now peeps. Dragged back into the mire in one fell swoop and the extra point deduction now comes into play. Only saving grace is we play Taunton and Hemel play Taunton in their last game while we play already relegated Havant. Colchester Utd May 2005 last day relegation all over again? In our own hands but knowing us were sure to f*ck it up.🙄

I think the bench sums up our season, wonder what season ticket prices will be in the Southern Premier? I don't know if this is a benchmark ( ) but Chesham United charged £180 early bird for their standard season ticket for this season: www.cheshamunited.co.uk/2023-24-season-tickets-are-launched/ ...and they have gone up as Champions! A bit more if you want free programmes and a bit more than that if you want a parking space and some free guest tickets.

I think we all have to mentally prepare ourselves for the worse. I just honestly cannot see where the goals are coming from any more and with no options to come in unless Jarvis somehow magically appears and just what state of mind wil he or any of them be in? Taunton , on the other hand have somehow created an opportunity to save themselves from the drop when it all looked so inevitable just a few days a go. Someone remind me of the dire 0-3 loss and performance against this lot at Plainmoor mid March... Doesn't bode well does it?
Halstead apparently upset at the general abuse yesterday . Exactly what does he expect as part of the worst team in the clubs history? Players that fail consistently have to expect and cope with that sort of reaction. Fans are angry and upset.
Just two games remain thank God and most if not all of this current squad will soon disappear and individually will already be planning ahead to try and make a living in the game. Goodness knows where though for many. The former football league players and old heads can only drop lower or out of the game. Ethan Archer does at least show genuine ability and potential but sure to be snapped up by a club who may actually value his skills and develop and I would be surprised if he would want to stay in any case. Would imagine our reputation for developing young skillful talent is now in tatters. Johnson, I'm pretty sure upset a few in his over extended time here and messed with their careers while trying to cover his own shortcomings.
Whatever division we're in next term I can only see it as another season of struggle and strife with a complete football club an squad rebuild in prospect.

That Taunton game must have been the worse game I’ve seen in the last 10 years or so. Such a shame we couldn’t have got someone in to advise Downsy on tactics as he seems only to have the GJ book of tactics ☹️ Just a shame that when we had our noses in front, we couldn’t put WSM to bed (two points lost) and Marshallgate (one point lost). Heartbreaking ☹️

We managed a performance on Monday. We can do it again this Tuesday. Away end now sold out, so I expect there will be more of us than them based on their average gate. Every little helps.
I do wonder if Halstead’s head is perhaps not in it if he is remonstrating with fans. If that’s the case, then perhaps it would be wise to re-introduce Lovett. I expect to see Dawson on the bench at least on Tuesday. I’m not as confident we will see Jarvis again, though.
Agree about Archer. I would be more than happy if we retain his services. I’m told Austen Booth is the only player still in contract next season, although that does seem at odds with a previously reported (on BTPIR) 3 year McGavin contract.
