I should point out that Bodin's car was hit by a bus, not the man himself...
As for this one, I don't know. I want to be optimistic but this is going to go one of two ways:
1) The players will react positively to the defeat and we'll thump them
2) The players will react negatively and bottle it
To an extent that's a narrative being set up there which might have nothing to do with it but I'm sure it has affected morale in some way
The facts are that while Barnet are bottom, they haven't conceded in 3 league games (W2 D1 from those 3), including smashing 4 past Northampton. Davids' arrival may have had a positive effect. They also rested a few key players for the FA Cup game so their main men will have had 10 days rest whereas ours have had 3 (though perhaps the Harrogate result suggests that may not be much of an issue)
Deadman refereeing adds another spanner to the works because we never seem to do well when he's in charge
This is a pivotal match and we absolutely need to win it, firstly for the sake of bouncing back from Saturday and secondly to prevent negative confidence issues about away trips - while we did get back-to-back wins prior to the FA Cup game, not only did we reportedly not look all that great against Morecambe but both matches were at home; and of course that 1 away win wasn't an especially convincing performance either. We need to get the monkey of our back before our away form really suffers. Soon we'll be taking trips to Oxford and Bradford, places where we've traditionally struggled, and after that comes Home Park. Thus it's absolutely imperative we get control of our away form before it dictates our overall form going into December/January
