This is still a very much anticipated fixture with the Grecians having sold their allocation out although some Gulls will take a look at the current league and form tables and will go into this one with some trepidation! Not for me though! I've been waiting for this one for four and a half years and our home form is still good and despite conceding late on in the last couple, is still on a par with Port Vale's for example. Okay, Exeter have excellent away form but so did Gillingham and I'm expecting a similar tight match but with the added passion of a local Derby and with the reverse fixture now only a fortnight away as well. Our injury crisis seems by degrees to be improving and from reading the match reports yesterday, I can't see too many changes taking place! We are the only league 2 fixture so a much needed win will see us move up the table.

Its my daughters 28th birthday tomorrow (Bielefeld Gull). She would like 3 points against Exeter for her birthday! Hear, Hear! Looks like the pitch is still in poor condition which will dictate play and short sharp passing it will be not! www.torquayunited.com/news/article/wet-top-598444.aspxProbably just as well as that Jarvis is back as I think he and Rene will be receiving a lot of route one stuff but in the context of the match, three points is three points. As someone pointed out to me today, all the Devon Derbies have ended with honours even so far - will this game be any different?

Some famous last words coming up - I'm confident we can get a draw
Whatever the result, though, we can't set up a narrative from this - we can't ascribe it "pivotal moment" status. Teams get results in derbies and yet still struggle or get relegated - that's the nature of derbies. So if we win, it doesn't guarantee us safety, and if we lose, it doesn't guarantee us struggling, though if we do lose, I don't know where we're going to get that morale boost from

Team:
Poke
Oastler Saah Downes Nicholson
Mansell Lathrope
Craig Jarvis Bodin
Howe
Bodin for Stevens then. You can't say he's going to defensive here. Not sure if that's wise - we'll find out soon enough

Getting more info on this from Exeweb than The Other Forum. Seems that we're playing quite well - Exeter set up very defensively and it back-fired straight away. They've had a couple of chances but we've been the better side. Also a few Argyle fans in the Pop
