Shame really but considering we're away to a side that made the L1 playoffs last season, and given a pretty good performance according to the radio, im not too downhearted if we lose

Sounds like a better performance, at least in the first half. Rice on form again, making a lot of saves in the second half. Certainly a much better way to go out than last year

Rome wasn't built in a day as the saying goes . Definitely something to build on and perhaps a little unlucky on the night though we must follow that up on Saturday at Morcombe who had a great win against Wolves. 18 shots for Morcombe to Wolves 11. Favourites for the drop eh? James may be offering an alternative view mind! Hope Benners is ok sounded quite a nasty one.

Did anyone think the different coloured shorts shown on dot com tonight matched in the kit a lot better?

Just back from the match. I thought we played well first half, some nice football at times. Liked what I saw of Ball up front and Hawley showed enough to suggest that he will be a useful signing when match fit. Harding, Tonge and Chappell also did well as well as our new number 1 (!!?!) Rice whose confidence must be sky high, super penalty save too! Swindon seemingly content to knock the ball around at the back first half and we pressured them well. The second half they injected a bit more urgency in to their play and we offered little in the way of attacking threat. However despite that it looked to be heading for extra time until Benyon was flattened by two Swindon players and a long delay to treat the injury ensued. We didn't seem to switch back on and they scored almost immediately after the restart. Unfortunately we couldn't muster a reply even with 8 minutes additional time. There were encouraging signs tonight and it seems a work in progress, as petef says Rome wasn't built I'm a day. Obviously hoping Benyon's injury is not as bad as it looked, credit the Swindon fans who also clapped him off...

Thanks for your thoughts on the game Bristol! As long as we keep improving then we are heading in the right direction, at the end of the day, the season is a marathon and not a sprint!

Indeed rjd, I thought there were enough signs there in the first half last night to suggest that we'll be ok this season.

Did anyone think the different coloured shorts shown on dot com tonight matched in the kit a lot better? They certainly did. Im not too sure how many of our opponents this season wear light coloured shorts but lets hope we wear the blue ones if there's a clash...
