As promised Brett I have listened to all of the four tracks, firstly mate a band playing that sort of music, I would go and see time and time again. As you might expect, it is not the sort of music I performed, due to most of my shows being on the hotel circuit. I think your lead guitarist is a really great player and the whole band sound very tight and the sound is very pleasing. Now about that singer I thought your voice was well suited to tracks one, three and four, the slower more ballad number, in my view did not suit your voice. I felt you could have punched your voice a little more into the real rock tracks, but you sang in tune and your voice was pleasing to listen too. Track one I would give 9 out of ten Track two 6 out of ten and both track three and four I would also give 9 out of ten. Well done Brett you should all be out gigging mate, its a great sound and one I would love to listen to live.

Agree with Dave's comments about the geetarist - top notch axework is that. Pretty much concur with what he said about the vocals as well - that second song just didn't sound right.
And a purely personal view this one; Brett, your voice is neither snarly enough or American enough to make a real success of American Idiot. Good voice, don't get me wrong, just not the right voice for that song (and I am sitting here wearing a black t-shirt with my trousers pulled up around my ribs a la Cowell right now!!)
Come Together was the highlight, Hungry Like A Wolf next. But a good way to spend half-time of Histon v Leeds!!

I think we need to ask Merse if he will be Simon Cowell, I think he would be so well suited What you think you know and what you really know, huh? I did a job for Simon Cowell at his home some months ago..............the guy was a real gentleman and treated me especially nicely (well, cod n' chips actually ) There's no truth in the rumour he said to me "hey Merse, you're just like me in real life..................just a pussy cat really"

Hidden talents Jim, some might say that after listening they are STILL not aware i was a singer!!!
Cheers for the feedback all. There is a 18 track live cd, but i think i wont hurt your ears by placing it online... the Studio Cd is good enough for me...
Now... bbcgull sings Torquay United's Warcry anyone lol

Differing views - its what life is all about! I actually liked the vocals on the second song - maybe its just more my type of music (although I do like the other tracks as well) Never got as far as burning a CD with some of the tracks we did in the group I was in - except one song (our first attempt) and I conveniently "lost" that one!!

Damn Scotty, it would have been good to hear it. I have a tape recording somewhere of me and my first band (this is my third) and i tell you we are so crap in early rehearsals lol luckily i am the only one with those recordings, so i know what you mean about losing it!!!
