Fairport Convention - Ivybridge Watermark - Wednesday 30th May 2018. Be there or be square Cracking night, best one of the past three years and nice to bump into Stefano as well! Yes nice to see you and I was of exactly the same mind - I have enjoyed all their what now seems to be annual visits to Ivybridge but last night was the best. Amazing how 5 people who all hold a concessionary bus pass can keep on improving!

Tickets booked for Steve Hackett at Cardiff St.David's Hall on Saturday 9th November 2019 (lets hope Torquay are playing away). He'll be playing the 'Selling England By The Pound' album in full...
Peter & The Test Tube Babies at the Newport Punk Festival on Saturday 3rd November 18, shame Torquay playing at home.

Funnily enough, the presence of Tom Bender in the St Albans lineup prompted discussion of Ariel Bender on Tuesday.

The Leylines at Kingskerswell Parish Church Saturday 23 March 2019. Part of their launch tour for their second album RECOVER REVEAL released 1 March 2019, they are in Battersea the evening before so hopefully they will get back down to Devon in time. This one is in the actual church itself so consequently there is no bar, but you are welcome to take your own drinks along. I went to this venue last year for the same group and it was a brilliant evening. At a stage of life where wedding and christening invitations are all too rare but funerals all too common, it was nice to be in church for something cheerful. Right I'm off for the 1016 train from Ivybridge to Exeter now. Sandy Park for the Chiefs v Saracens top of the table clash which sold out in October. Santa hat for the festive atmosphere, and hopefully a classic game of rugby but with one eye on the Beveree and Hampton & Richmond. In our present form United should be too strong and beat both of them!

In view of my constant promotion of The Leylines, and in case anybody has been tempted to find out what it is all about, I should warn that this gig has now been switched to the SUNDAY. Very fitting day to attend church!
