lapse of concentration....... get beat........... And that has been the story in so many games this season....a defender switches off & we concede, the home match against Oxford being a prime example.

was there yesterday ,we were awful, oxford were as well, but slightly less awful. How hargreaves can say on the official site that it was a good performance,is beyond me,we were devoid of any attacking ideas and a team in form would of battered us,at least in the first half anyway. He has his work cut out with this squad for sure,we improved slightly when the clubs best player in chapell came on for the the last 20 minutes, other than that we were a forgetful embarassment

I see it's been announced that Wilder has resigned at Oxford and heading to Northampton. Could give them a boost? Not according to Wilder

I see it's been announced that Wilder has resigned at Oxford and heading to Northampton. Could give them a boost? Not according to Wilder What a farcical situation. When I read yesterday he had resigned and was heading for Northampton I was somewhat surprised to say the least . What ever could be his motive for moving backwards? And now this news that he hasn't . These people are a joke and Northampton are becoming a laughing stock, I would imagine their fans are up in arms. We do at least have a manager in place ready for a fight even if yeterdays performance wasn't up to much in appalling conditions, at least the effort was there and we can ask for no more as supporters. Hargreaves has to rebuild team spirit and confidence as well as trying to improve he football side . Its a huge ask after so much damage was done in the first months of the season. If it all falls apart Greavsy will not be getting any blame from this quarter as he is playing catch up and we need to win at least six or seven and draw as many again to stand a chance. Not sure its possible but I will be getting behind the players the manager and the club - at least until all hope is gone. As Aussie says on another thread some will already be sharpening the knives in anticipation of his failure. The sensible among us will realise our limitations and that as a club we can do no more than we have. Not on this site Aussie try the other TUFC armchair expert website.

Ouch...down to earth with a heavy bump there! Tuesday nights match takes on a lot more significance now. I think yesterday was our 20th game before the end of the season, so it seems if we win one lose one we should just about be fine. So we have to win on Tuesday, because I doubt we'll get more than a draw at Portsmouth (because that's all they seem to do) and sod all out of Chesterfield a short time later. So if we don't win on Tuesday, I figure we'll probably have to win four on the bounce after Chesterfield...a somewhat daunting task!

I´ve just gone through the remaining games and estimated our final points total based on current form, I´m a bit concerned about the total of 47 points!

Fearing a Burton backlash on Tuesday after their loss to Fleetwood. Hope the match survives the weather though reckon we would have had some momentum if we had played the week before. Which way that momentum would have been though is debatable...

Sensible post petef, no sane fan can get on CH's back after one defeat. We have to get behind the team and hope for enough points to survive. We all know we're working on a shoestring and shipping in players en masse is not an option, so with the exception of one or two loanees, the management has to work with what we've got. I will back Hargreaves and at least know that he will be working as hard as he can to turn things around. For that we should be grateful...

Nonsense. What we need's a good sacking. And if the match is off on Tuesday, sack the board. ;-) Elsewhere, it's being discussed that Mansell has been to AandE this morning with a knock that has caused bruising on the bone. Source is Mansell himself on twitter. I would much rather see Cooper or Craig taking to the field than a half fit Mansell come Tuesday.

Strange to think that if we had won against City a few weeks ago we would be on the same number of points,29 and looking at the tables anyone of ten teams above us could still get drawn into a relegation scrap. Its happened before - Barnet the year we beat them on the final day to save our skins were well up the table at this stage. We just need to ensure we continue to improve and start getting points on the board. Plenty of twists and turns , false dawns etc ahead.

On the bus, off the bus.....Looks like hes gone now... With Alan Knill to be his number 2 at Sixfields, according to quite a few elsewhere.
