The permutations:
- If we lose, we are relegated
- If we draw, we are relegated
- If we win, we are not relegated unless two of Wycombe (vs Fleetwood), Bristol Rovers (vs Portsmouth today and vs Rochdale on Monday) and Northampton (vs Portsmouth) win
- The situation is complicated by the fact that Wycombe play Bristol Rovers next Saturday; if we win, Bristol Rovers and Wycombe both lose (twice in Rovers' case) and Northampton win, we will not be mathematically relegated but Wycombe and Rovers' far superior goal difference will mean we are all but down
We can now no long catch Exeter, who have pulled themselves clear in recent weeks
Line-up vs Chesterfield:
Gk Christy Pym Def Danny Butterfield Def Craig Woodman Def Scot Bennett Def Danny Coles Def Jordan Moore-Taylor Mid Liam Sercombe Mid Matt Oakley Mid Matt Grimes For Eliot Richards For John O'Flynn
Subs: Artur Krysiak (Gk), Pat Baldwin (Def), Arron Davies (Mid), David Wheeler (mid), Matt Gill (Mid), Tom Nicholls (For), Jimmy Keohane (For)
Head-to-head:
Exeter wins - 43 Torquay wins - 37 Draws - 36
Last match: Torquay 1-3 Exeter (Nicholls 38; Wheeler 60; Hawley 74; Gow 85), League Two, December 2013
Last match at St James Park: Exeter 0-1 Torquay (Howe pen 17), League Two, January 2013)
Last Exeter win at St James Park: Exeter 4-3 Torquay (Mackie 23, 62; Moxey 34; Todd 50; Carlisle 56; Phillips 71; Nicholson 78), Conference, December 2007
Last draw at Exeter: Exeter 0-0 Torquay, Division Three, April 2002

If Exeter fail to beat us their remaining games are at home to Scunthorpe and away to Hartlepool. They could end up with only 50 points and join us in a "Double Devon"!

oh yeh city are still in the steaming poo for now, lose to us,which wouldnt surprise me,and the pressure will certainly be on them, but derby experience this year for me is we dont play with any passion and without a care in the world,so expect them to relegate us and save their own skins in the process, and laugh at us on the final whistle

Would normally have gone to this one but it is my wife's birthday and to be honest it is a blessed relief as witnessing relegation there would just be a bad nightmare!!!

Has the Ivor Dewdney's in Sidwell Street closed? Hope not! Looks like it has. Oggy Oggy? There is an Ivor's in Burnthouse Lane apparently. Barty could take us on a historical route march past where the wheel came off and past the Barracks. If anyone threatens to beat us up because we are too posh, we could just say we are mates of Ricey.

Got to be the Fire House over 'Spoons! If you're serious about your beers then Beer Cellar at the top of South St takes some beating.
Anyhow, despite living 15 mins walk from Sid James, I'm currently enjoying a pint at the South Devon Railway. Wake me up when we're in the Conference....

Big well done all especially the supporters who were brave enough to travel. A little pride restored if nothing else and knowing our luck we will win both our remaining matches and go down on goal difference. So funny reading the pathetic comments on our other so called fans sight slagging off the man they demanded to be manager at half time. Spirit has been there the one thing we haven't been able to sort out all season is scoring bloody goals so frustrating when you look back at games we should have got results even draws of which we have the least in the division, and we would have easily been in with a real chance of staying up. Happy/sad today but with a good finish it may give us some momentum and belief going into a new and potentially very difficult season.
