There is a strange anomaly here somewhere. Away from home, we have beaten three of the top six teams, and in fact all five away wins have been against teams in the top half of the table. Against the bottom half, four draws and four defeats. Complacency, mental disintegration or what ?

That and how young our squad is and the inconsistency that often brings. Let's hope it's a mindset that takes us over the Trophy line. Plenty of positives today. Gueguen looks pretty decent to me and partnered Angus well. Ajala impresses me match after match. Cameron and Chapell (before injury) both showed what we know they have. Bowman scored again and works very hard. Was surprised Dawson didn't make the bench. Injury? Possible that with two matches coming up he's cup tied for that he wasn't selected, I suppose.

Thanks for posting your thoughts on the match Rob. I would concur with your reasons for our inconsistency as we are more than capable of beating anyone on our day. Possibly the worse management decision was when Richards was put in defence, not only cost us the match but may have lost his confidence after his very good start to the season and may have led to the Hutchings exit?
I suppose there is a faint glimmer of hope in respect of the play offs with 9 points to make up in 13 games. Our record against the top sides together with the rich vein of form needed to get there would give us an excellent chance if we could actually make it in the top five. We will slip back in the league with the trophy matches coming up and maybe just as well that both us and Wrexham play mid week in between. Probably best to focus on each match and see where we are in April...
