You reap what you sow! Cue sounds of cocks crowing during Hector's denials! And what denials might they be, Stefano? Very quick for you. Look them up!

Ther is no chance either Hargreaves or Hodges will resign with both still under contract unless there are built in contract clauses. We are unfortunately stuck with both and the incredible mess they have created from a position of some promise earlier in the season. God knows what crap and set of excuses hes going to come out with this week but the situation will just continue to deteriorate if hes left in charge. It is Hobson's choice for Mr Hargreaves really. It is clear to everyone, including probably himself, that he is just not up to the job. If he were to resign now, he might have a chance of retaining the respect of those who have accorded him legendary status for his time at the club as a player (in the Conference). Older supporters, however, will argue that he has never come close to emanating the achievements of Don Mills, John Smith or even Alex Russell as a midfield general. If he digs his heels in and refuses to leave, then it is highly likely that he will be hated as long as he is at the club for putting his pride and financial gain ahead of the welfare of the club for which he claims to have such a connection. It would take an extraordinary sequence of results for us to be relegated this season, but at least the appointment of a better and more experienced manager, whatever the financial cost, would afford some hope for the future, of which, at the moment, we have none.

Just checked the result after dinner with friends. Campbell had just equalised when we left to meet them so I am astonished at the final score. Losing 5-1 at home to a team below us before the kick-off is unacceptable. If we were in a run of winning games, sometimes results like this can happen, but we're not and it just epitomises the dreadful run we are in. Relegation looms ever closer and unless things change, or are changed by Thea before she departs, why should we expect next season to be any better?

Well that was bad. Luckily I have some chums who have been going up Plainmoor for fourty plus years and sitting with them we, for some bizarre reason, we have a laugh only because of black humour at the state we are in. We will be there Saturday. It is such a shame all this. I cannot see any way out other than management changes. Many other Torquay managers have been sacked for far better results than this lot are providing. You can just see it in the team, there is no cohesion and worst of all team spirit. The passing is absolutely attrocious, don't think I have ever seen it so bad. Not very nice things happening as well. I know he had a very poor game but it sits uncomfortably that Bowmans substitution probably got the loudest cheer of the night. This season has been a disaster. Perhaps the report that Harry Redknapp has bought two of the apartments in the old Palm Court hotel complex could be a harbinger of happier days.

A troubling night. I can't remember the last time I was so wound up over football. The Silence of the Gulls will be my abiding memory of the evening. It was deathly at times. Before, during and after.
Sun is out today, mind, and there's optimism on the back page of the Western Morning News. Things can only get better. Just hum along now....

Grim stuff. At this rate I can see Alfreton finishing above us in the league.

I would take 20th if you offered it. That would equal our lowest ever Conference position - sort it out Buckle! And we all know, that sort it out he did! How we could do with another saviour right now.
