The Brexit Party's "mistake" in announcing Mark "Call me a fascist if you like" Nash, aka Moraymint, as its Parliamentary candidate in Moray turns out not to have been a mistake after all. The latest list of candidates does indeed name Nash as the man to take on Tory MP Douglas Ross. Party Chairman Richard Tice says, with reference to Moraymint and a fellow candidate in the neighbouring constituency: “It fills me with pride to showcase these game-changing individuals and future politicians who will be representing The Brexit Party. They are both ordinary people and extraordinary people who will restore excellence as well as common sense to our failing parliament.”
The reason some people call Mark Nash a fascist is his eccentric & somewhat provocative remarks about Islam, which he calls a cancer that must be crushed. Specifically, he has made it clear that by "Islam" he is talking not about ISIS or Al Qaeda but all those ordinary UK citizens who go to mosques on Fridays. Apparently he subscribes to the Great Replacement theory and believes that UK Muslims are planning to establish a British Caliphate. Last week the Party denied that Nash was going to be their candidate in Moray, said it was all a mistake and that Arthur Durance was the nominee instead, which came as news to Mr Durance, who thought he was (& indeed is now confirmed as) candidate for Gordon. This story doesn't prove that the Brexit Party is made up of fascists, but since Mark Nash is content to wear that hat himself they do seem to have dropped a clanger by selecting him. I'm happy to accept that the rest of the Party are, in the main, merely daft old buffers of the hang 'em, shoot 'em and flog 'em brigade; the kind that Alpine Joe sends up so brilliantly on this very page. What do you mean 'planning' to establish a British Caliphate?

QUEEN OUTFLANKS JEZZA !
While dear old Jezza was still searching for his reading glasses, before cobbling together some form of hogwash to present to the Queen, little did he know that our brave Brexit supporting Monarch had ripped off the royal gloves, grabbed a biro, and got BoJo's wheels spinning on a prorogued parliament (actually no more that 3 or 4 extra days off to prepare for those exhausting party conferences). Poor old Jezza searching high and low for a second class stamp, but all to no avail as BoJo and Betty had done him up like kipper well in advance. God Bless The Queen.

War hero Michael Heseltine, victor of the Battle of Molesworth which left hordes of dangerous hippies licking their wounds and/or fleeing to the hills, is unhappy with Prime Minister Johnson's provocative move today. He says:
“On hearing the news whilst on holiday in Montenegro, I am appalled by the government’s announcement. The government’s decision is a constitutional outrage. A government which is frightened of parliament is frightened of democracy. I hope that every member of parliament, in feeling this humiliation, will use every legal and constitutional weapon to obstruct a government proposing to force on the British people a historic change for which they have long since lost any mandate.”
The Queen will be busy opening letters tomorrow morning because Anna Soubry, Jo Swinson and Jeremy Corbyn are all writing to her today. She probably doesn't have a clue what's going on but at least it will take her mind off her son Andy's sleazy behaviour, which had the Daily Mail in a right old funk today. Andy obviously never heeded the advice that it's a good idea to be nice to people when you are up because you might need them on your side when you're on the way down, but it's a bit of a bugger when a son of HM can't enjoy a relaxing foot massage from Ivana Humpalot in a paedophile's parlour without the gutter press nosing around and making a big stink about it.

Well, it's all kicking off since The Boris did his amazing move! The Boris has done more in two minutes than May did in two years! All sorts of things being said: Gina is ranting again, and she wasn't even born in this country...then again, who was! Unlawful being another, let's get rid of the monarchy from some sad people...but my favorite... ...yes, you've got it sports fans...Undemocratic! That made I larf!

Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, as any fule no, was born in New York on 19 June 1964. Not only is he not British he's also a mere wet-behind-the-ears slip of a child and too big for his boots. He needs his arse tanning.
Some say that Alexander Boris has a way with the ladies, but his charms have failed to impress Ruth Davidson. For many the only Tory politician they could bear, she has quit one day after Alexander Boris decided to slam the door on our elected representatives by shutting them out of parliament for 5 weeks. Since Ms Davidson is thought by several pundits to be the glue that held together the Scottish Tories (her deputy while she was on maternity leave made John Redwood look friendly and Chris Grayling charismatic) this news bodes well for the cause of Scottish independence, or at least that's the way it looks today.
My friend in the USA emailed me today to ask what the FH is going on. Considering the situation here in the UK along with the POTUS being a raving madman, the Amazon burning down and Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United at the top of the early second division table my answer is that we are all going to hell in a handcart.

Gina is ranting again, and she wasn't even born in this country.. Daily Express style commentary, right there. Just grabbed her name from the long list (not as long as the Dashing Brexiteers list of course) of Sad Remoaners to lead in the punchline...and it worked!

I'm still basking in the glow of the kind words directed my way by Comrade Felix, and I'm sure Reg will have appreciated the compliment from Rob that he's able to produce a style akin to that of the professional and often award winning journalists employed by the Daily Express. This sudden charm offensive from the Remainers is gratefully received, although not entirely necessary as the hand of friendship is permanently proffered by the good natured and jovial TFF Brexiteers such as Reg, myself, and many others, including the politically shrewd Stewart. Neither should Remainers lose heart, as Prime Minister BoJo's commitment and strong belief in democracy surely still allows for discussion of the Brexit situation as well as amendments if Parliament thinks necessary, particularly a vote on a new and improved 'deal' that BoJo hopes to conclude with the EU in the middle of October. A less good look is blocking the streets or hoping the courts will overturn or delay the implementation of the Democratic mandate. Whether it be that well known old proroguer himself and Edwina Currie's former lover John Major, or ranting Gina, their whining, complaining and further attempts to deny the voting public what was decided back in mid 2016 only serves in pushing the people of the UK into backing Boris more emphatically.....as the most recent poll underlines. The only thing that seems certain is, that however fraught things might get in the country at large, the Brexit debate at TFF will, as always, be conducted on friendly terms and with a smile .

I'm guessing the SNP and Plaid Cymru are included in the "other" section above, or just possibly are not included at all because the poll has a built-in English bias. Lots of us take opinion polls less seriously than we used to, since they told us that Remain would win the referendum, Trump would lose the US election in 2016 & Theresa May would romp home with an increased majority 2 years ago. Wrong, wrong & very wrong, the polls might even have had an impact on the results, causing folk not to bother actively voting because they thought the outcome was a foregone conclusion. I'd ban them, myself, but then again that's the old Tanky in me coming out, I suppose.
In a real contest yesterday in Shetland, to elect a new MSP for the islands, the result was as follows:
Wishart (Liberal) 5659 Wills (SNP) 3822 Thomson (Ind) 1286 Goodlad (Tory) 425 Nicolson (Green) 189 Adamson (Labour) 152 Stout (Ind) 134 Scott (Ind) 66 Martin (Ukip) 60 Tait (Ind) 31
Since the Lib Dems' majority was severely reduced, nobody at all can claim to have done very well. With the Faragists not bothering to take part at all, the combined Tory & Ukip vote doesn't suggest that the islanders are big supporters of a No Deal Brexit, although I concede that maybe Mr Tait's 33 votes should be included since for all I know he might be on the same side as Goodlad & Martin. What we do know is that the Liberals and SNP are staunch Remainers and their combined vote easily outweighs all the rest.
By the way, did you see Ruth Davidson on the News yesterday? Normally cheerful and approachable, she was spikey, miserable and apparently very angry indeed. I'd love to watch her having a fight with Dominic Cummings, who has now sacked 2 of Javid's team without bothering to tell him so first. It's almost as if the No Dealers are trying to get rid of the bus conductor's son for some reason. Any thoughts, AJ?

Comrade Felix Perhaps Ruth's youngster is teething and she's not getting any sleep ? But the fact that a woman without a Conservative bone in her body became leader of the Tories north of the border, just indicates the sorry state the Party had got itself into.... effectively taken over and run by Social Democrats like May and Hammond. It also illustrates the enormity of the task facing Prime Minister Cummings and Boris. All the talent is now amalgamated within the No.10 machine. There's really no need for a Chancellor at all. Saj has a relatively simple task to perform i.e present the face of diversity for the Johnson/Cummings Administration. The one thing Dominic and Boris know it isn't wise to do, is let a power base build up at No.11 that favours policies not entirely in line with your own. If Alistair Campbell could start over again he'd have nipped in the bud Gordon Brown setting up a confrontational department of his own next door, and with sufficient influence to make Blair dance to his Chancellor's tune on many an occasion. Locally in Torbay, the fact that their MP considered Sajid Javid to be the best candidate for PM raises alarm bells straight away. If Javid found favour with Riviera Macron then that tells you pretty much all you need to know about Javid. Stick him in No.11 with a rubber stamp, but don't let him do his own thing as you'd be just as well having Jo Swinson as Prime Minister. Just how did he come to have a Remainiac adviser that has already been collaborating with the anti democrats of the Gawkward Squad ? It sounds very much as if Javid should have been kicked out the door at the same time. I'd imagine it's similar to Refs generally not getting a red card out for a very bad tackle in the first minute. Sending the Chancellor for an early bath this soon, when it was only a few weeks ago that he was appointed would provide the Press with a field day. So the option of stripping him of all power, and being made aware he's being watched very very closely, seems to have been taken instead. A major blot in Saj's copybook already, even before all the new wallpaper has been put up in No.11. Evidence that Khan was a Kollaborator. And she's paid the price. Saj placed under surveillance, although any further slip ups and it'll be off to Siberia and the salt mines for him as well.

For centuries, man has tried to discover the secret of living eternally...the Elixer of Life. Even today, we freeze our body (even our bloody heads are chopped off and frozen) in the hope that in the future we can be resurrected and live forever! Let me give you a tip arsehole...it's a scam...and you're dead! Now we have the biggest crisis since King Olaf The Forgetful returned from invading yet another country (oh to have an army again) only to find he'd forgotten the key to the Queens chastity belt! Thereby, being banished to the pigsty for the night where he found solace with a pregnant Sow called Irmintrude! It all went teats-up though when she squealed on him! Now we have a TFF member who has removed himself from all the cares and woe of Brexit! Who's only concern it seems, is having a free curry (after winning a bet with Jon) and which goes on first...the Cream or the Jam? Has he in fact, discovered the 'Elixer of Life?' Should anyone give a shit what happens with Brexit? I know one thing for sure, should I see a wizened, white haired old man on one of the many hills that surround me, drinking an ancient mixture from a Golden Chalice...I might just walk up and ask him what his secret is!

Could Alpine Joe explain why Ruth Davidson is "a woman without a Conservative bone in her body". The Conservative Party is traditionally a broad church centre right party. Scottish Tories have traditionally followed a more liberal social policy than the English party or is Alpine now stating there is no room for deviation from the teachings of Fuhrer Cummings anymore, or he is he simply stating that gays, like jews in the Labour Party, have no place.
