What odds we go into yet another match without additions? I would say its a dead certainty there will be none and there won't be any at all for the rest of the season. The reason I say this is because of Stewart's post regards his conversation with Verma. There is as lot rumour and opinion on the forums but precious few facts; but Stewart has actually provided the source of his information and that gives it more credibility than 99% of stuff written on the forums and there is no reason to believe that the skipper is lying because he is obviously not towing his employers line with his comments.

The cynic in me thinks that a much smaller stadium (stands as it would not be a stadium any more) would need to be built for a step 2 side reducing the costs for a relocation package allowing GI to focus on the more profitable aspects of any redevelopment. Makes good business sense really.

Lets hope the pitch stands up to today's heavy rain as more is due tomorrow tea time and whilst the match is in progress.
Happy days...

No further rain booked according to the Met Office weather app apart from a small shower tomorrow evening. Happy days...

I'm sure I read somewhere on one of the sites that Moore left towards the end of January, I make that about 10 weeks to get some bodies in...

I'm sure I read somewhere on one of the sites that Moore left towards the end of January, I make that about 10 weeks to get some bodies in... He was back at FGR before the Christmas and New Year fixtures. Came on against us at the New Lawn. Maybe went to Ipswich at the end of January? Another day, another lack of additions. No doubt AJ will be rehashing his update again with another guessed at date for new additions or reasons why they were never needed, while all continue to hear nothing from our property developing owners as another match passes. Fans forum early in the new year, working with stakeholders for the remaining months of the season on a five year plan and need for reinforcements, my arse. Although, to be fair, the Council, as a stakeholder, appear to be on notice of one major aspect of the plan given the actual current length of the Plainmoor lease and Plainmoor "disposal" meetings. To get 4 points in this backdrop, even with the loss of the 6 pointers, was some going and it is a credit to the siege mentality Nico has had to create with nobody apparently in support of him and his charges, barring the Yellow Army. Hopefully we can add to that total in possibly Hodgkiss's last game, with the Manager still having not received any apparent backing since the "I've been backed" statement.

I can't see how anyone can stick up for GI. They have poured money into the back of house team rather than playing staff. Utter madness. It must be just a few of us that are fed up with Roberts, GI I guess.

Blissett was still with us but rested at FGR, joining Argyle a few days later. Despite the brilliant parodying of the most gullible, I don't think even GI Joe is on message. Most probably have no opinion either way would be my guess. Anyway, there's still a bit of time left before Eastleigh, so fingers crossed on those new signings.

Rob I use very similar words when asked if there is any immediate need for further players at the moment. Anyone at Plainmoor last Tuesday would surely be asking, 'Who could you possibly drop ?' and to even consider messing about with a side that's taken 4 points from a possible 6, including looking every bit the equal of third placed Tranmere Rovers would be the height of folly. Given the number of season ticket holders, we have precious little money coming into the club at the moment, and the haste with which some want our money to be given to other clubs needs to be resisted. King Kev always has a plan A, but also a plan B, as well as a plan C to fall back on. There's more than one way to skin a TUST militant, and while plan A was to pick up points by outscoring the opposition, a Championship club, Ipswich Town, scuppered that. So instead we went about implementing plan B (to pick up points by conceding fewer goals than our opponents), and the wages set aside for Kieffer Moore went on Aarran Racine in order to go about achieving that outcome. Now it's a simple case of shaking the sustainable money tree and financing further acquisitions I suppose ?. King Kev will bring in additions at the right time, but for the moment, particularly on the back of the last two excellent results, he understands the motives of those wishing to disrupt the harmony of his tight knit squad, by introducing strangers to their midst. As he emphasises on the Official Site today: 'It’s about that group in that changing room, regardless of the criticism they get, regardless of the finger pointing and all the stuff that goes off if you’re having a bad game, or social media, or the press'
Four points out of six from out last two matches have panicked some to the extent that the onslaught against the players and staff before tomorrow's match has been as vicious and sustained as we've seen for a while. Elsewhere you may or may not be surprised to learn that Verma is a worried man, walking slowly with the weight of the world on his shoulders, a separate thread apparently dedicated to insulting the General Manager, and a liberal sprinkling of 'losers' and 'tossers' seemingly directed at the players. Nico will have seen how the Forums went into silent mourning after we won at Southport. The players know how badly you want their shirts to be given to others. But still they defiantly battle on, as you haven't won quite yet. Now get back to celebrating the announcement that Brexit will be triggered on the 29th, and forget football until tomorrow .

Need for reinforcements, my arse. King Kev will bring in additions at the right time Not sure everyone will agree he has such leeway given what's happened, or perhaps more accurately not happened, since GI took over. Sounds like more fake news, AJ.

Well I am sure that not everyone would agree. But as far as the 'right time' factor is concerned, we know it's only a 'leeway' of 9 or 10 days, and Kev at least has to plan that far ahead, even if his leeway is pulled out from under him before then .
