Interesting tweet tonight from close friend of Nico and fitness trainer, Simon Jeffrey, who has been on our bench on matchdays a few times this season.
This siege mentality certainly has an air of two fingers up to the dreadful owners about it.

What sort of budget will there be next season if we manage to avoid relegation and stay in this league. GI must be sh#tting themselves with the thought of having to spend some money on a football team. Mind you if the mayor decides to sell Plainmoor it will only be for one more season. Rumour has it that GI have put in a large order for brown envelopes. Or is that fake news?

Any good will that existed has gone I'm afraid Mr Osbourne. All that was required was for you to at least appear to be supporting the manager and football club. This statement is at least a month to late and I'm afraid you have lost any support that did exist. Never underestimate the power of the people who genuinly care. www.torquayunited.com/news/article/2016-17/club-update-3647340.aspx

Seems like a fairly rushed job that press release. Interestingly the word "football" does not feature once. Why would it.

You don't have to look very hard at that pic in the Herald of Osborne and Rich to realise they probably hate the game and are suffering for the sake of business goals. They have no affinity or love for our football club that much is clear. Their reluctance to communicate or even mention the football side of things or even praise the manager and players for their effort tells me one thing. I do fear for the club now even if we manage to survive this league next season will be just the same - a shoestring budget and more struggle as they ultimately couldn't care less at what level the club becomes " self sufficient".

Give them the freehold and the communication will be even worse than this press release. Someone on torquayfans.com described it as something his boss might dictate if he was in a bad mood as opposed to an attempt to properly engage with fans. To forget to mention the football when trotting this out for the third or fourth time is a big faux pas by the GI property developers.

What surprises me is that they are not even very good at what they do do. Appointing an amateur developer as general manager who promptly drops them in it. . A rushed press release that forgets to use the word football. How can anyone have any confidence in a word they say ( or don't say) It's more like Roberts than Roberts. !

I have been surprised at how poor they have been with their spin to date as I remember their press offerings as reasonably polished when they were involved in the death of Reading Speedway. It's as if they don't really feel the need to bother with anything much other than private talks with the Mayor when it comes to communication and TUFC.

www.torquayunited.com/news/article/2016-17/questions-for-the-club-3649743.aspxNeed some well worded simple but blunt questions though in all truth it will be a whitewash. I have quickly thought of a few so please add to the list. No1. Why have you waited this long to communicate with supporters? No2. Who is this mystery man Geoff Harrop and why does he hide away from the supporters? No3. Why does Kevin Nicholson have to do everyone's job? No4. Why do you appear to want to bring the club to its knees? No5. Why no funding to strengthen a desperately weak squad when the opportunity was there to improve our chances of staying in the National league? No6. If you gain the freehold to Plainmoor will you build a stadium first before it is developed to ensure the football club wil always have a home no matter what the circumstances? No7 Why do you have no respect for the people that really care about TUFC?

Take a note Mr GI of the Tranmere's chairman's view of how important fans are to the club.
