I don't need to say it again! Do I? Those that won't hear still won't listen! I'm with you all the way. I said as much a few weeks ago. Owers is totally useless. I've lost track of the number of players that have come and gone under his management. Here we go again with 3 totally untried players. His tactical ability is no better than the Tyre Fitter. The commentators pointed out more than once that it was a mistake to play McGinty on the right side as his right foot is useless. I don't need to spell out the failings of our midfield and attacking ability. The only good thing to come out of this is I will save myself £35 for each remaining home game. Easiest New Year Resolution ever to keep. Our glorious owner must be quietly smiling to himself getting the plans smoothed out on his desk ready for the demise TUFC and the redevelopment of Plainmoor.

Everyone involved at the club in the last few years has contributed towards its demise in one way or another and left us up shit alley with a club dying on its feet shame on the lot of them

If Nico was still manager i very much doubt we would be in a worse position so that decision after just 4 games has certainly backfired. Whether it was the right decision or not it made no sense to spend 6 weeks appointing a manager after such a prompt culling where the squad went from bad to worse and made Owers job that much harder. Unfortunately, either from lack of resources or otherwise, his appointment has not worked out and cannot see anything other than a very painful relegation....

I agree, any realistic chance of escaping relegation is now effectively gone. We needed to make some sort of progress in the last month or two but have failed to do so. We now have to play like a play-off team for the rest of the season to survive to accumulate around 50 points but that just won't happen. In recent games the team has in fact regressed to embarrassing levels. Basic errors in defence and cannot score for toffees.
Owers turned out to be the wrong choice of manager at the wrong time. We needed a fire-fighter type of manager in the Ian Atkins mould but Owers is definitely not that. We needed someone to galvanize the players together but instead Owers has alienated them. Ironically that was one of Nicholson's biggest strengths as manager.
It's just all one hell of a mess from top to bottom. No leadership or communication. Has Owers even signed a contract, will be here next season, is he the man to lead us out of the Conference South? And then there is all the GI uncertainty hanging over all of this. Things just get worse...
At least reading Alpine Joe's above post made me smile and thank god we have someone like that to lift the spirits.

Meanwhile, I’m sure Alpine Joe is impressed with the progress of fan-owned, Newport County, probably having their best season since joking the FL. handily places in the league and now knocking Leeds out of the FA Cup, with McClosky, the player King Kev so criminally under-used seeing Newport into the 4th round with the winner.

I see that Guiseley and Chester are playing tonight, this could put a few more points between them and us.
