chelstongull The camaraderie I expected from my fellow Osborne hating comrades, seems to be lacking so far

That Light treatment is rubbish, Reg. Hundreds will be trying it again this evening, sitting under the Plainmoor floodlights for the best part of 2 hours. Yet most of them usually end up miserable as sin, and more unhappy than they were earlier before they turned up for the treatment.

That's because we support our team no matter what. It's our hobby. Who cares if we end up in Devon and Exeter league. That's life it's a hobby. We have been relegated 3 tiers in our history. 3rd to 6th. Currently of the 116 teams in top 5 tiers over 70 have suffered the same fate in their history. It happens get over it. Looking forward to tonight's game as much as any, because I enjoy my hobby. I bet tust supporters would be moaning tonight at our chairman if we were in champions league semi final, about a sustainable new stadium, lack of signing 100 million pound players. Have a few pre match beers and get down there tonight. Enjoy your hobby I will tonight and next season as normal. Get over yourselves all of you.

Last week I used the coffee shop I do every day. The sofa I always use had been moved from along the wall on the right hand side to the long side. Did I shout rant, demand the owner came out and tell me why he made this decision, did I stand and chant I want the manager out sacked for this I think I should have a right as to where the sofa goes because I come here every day. I'm going to get my friends to form a group and takeover this place? i should have a say in how's it's run, I want the owner out, because 1 day he will close this place down.We will set up a rival company blah blah blah. No I simply sat in the sofa in its new position and enjoyed my coffee as it's a nice hobby. Come on Torquay!

C O has never built a stadium. He has no need to. Bristol Rovers still looking for a new ground. Bristol council will never allow it, they want 1 stadium. World cup 2018 was the plan. Bristol rugby then get Ashton gate. Reading speedway the stadium is still there never sold can never be built on. Closed because of lack of interest. Fans group had a meeting to get reinstated, they were expecting 300 to turn up 3 did. That's why it died. Mk dogs closed to allow mk bowl turned into now the national hockey centre, England, GB play all their games there cup finals etc. Indoor arena major events host for concerts and darts nowadays. I'm sure the 150 people a week that miss the dogs are hardly a loss. C O raking it in. Swindon speedway thriving business despite no new stadium yet. Contractors left site due to council f**k up over the plans. Awaiting go ahead to finish the stadium. I hate cockneys.

CO is a bullshitter so his words are not to be taken seriously. Anybody who thinks otherwise is most likely deluded.

Furthmore Osbourne, Harrop, Owers and Khull and all the other hangers on are clearly unfit for purpose after this evenings fiasco.

More of the Osbourne interview here from 15 minutes: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p062zpywUnbelievable comment 26 minutes in that he did not know that there was a repayable grant on Bristow's Bench. Osborne signed off the club's accounts y/e 30/6/17 that clearly referred to this in note 10b) He says this did not come up in due diligence. Really??? Does anyone believes that for a second? I know DD would have been using 2015 accounts not 2017 accounts, but surely a five minute due diligence would ask what £1.2m of accruals and deferred income represented! When Dave Phillips used to play dumb and pretend he did not understand very basic financial issues, I sort of believed him. Not Osborne though. He is a chartered accountant. He's not daft - far from it. Not the only bit of truth bending, but possibly the most blatant.

C O has never built a stadium. He has no need to. Glad we are agreed on that. Yet he has made so many promises to build stadia. If people making key decisions have the "promises made to promises delivered ratio" very clear in their minds, we will have a far better chance of sensible decisions being made.

No I simply sat in the sofa in its new position and enjoyed my coffee as it's a nice hobby. Come on Torquay! Rather a silly analogy, but I'll go with it. I like coffee. I like going to coffee shops. I like some coffee shops more than I like others. But I don't have any strong emotional attachment to one particular coffee shop. I have not invested a disproportionate amount of my time and emotional energy in one particular coffee shop. If my coffee shop of choice served crap coffee for five and a half years, I wouldn't even know. On the second crap cup of coffee, I would go somewhere else. If the new owners of the coffee shop were a group of clueless pensioners who did not have enough cash to trade, it would not worry me. I would not try to talk sense into them. If they decided to borrow £100k from a loan shark to limp on losing money, it would be no skin off my nose. I would not bother to try to talk them out of it. If they then decided to give the premises over to a property developer so it would cease to be a coffee shop, I would not care. I can get a coffee somewhere else. Torquay United to many people is more akin to a member of family. You can't just go out and replace them when they are gone, so you passionately want to protect them from harm. Note to Stefano: tldr

We have been relegated 3 tiers in our history. 3rd to 6th. Obviously, your username is everything you are not! Massive difference between 3rd and 6th both in terms of the product on the pitch and the match day experience. It is just not the same attraction. The absolute die hards may still go at the level you allude to but we are already 1000 down on the gates this season and with the competition from other local clubs as well as premiership / Europe football coverage that support will fall further. Youngsters in the Torquay catchment won’t come and get the bug. Yes, we care, but Torquay is so much more than a hobby.,,,
