If the new PM (Carrie Symonds) isn't in the same league as Theresa May, then we should be grateful for small mercies. May plumbed new depths. At least the best Prime Minster Britain never had, the mighty Jezza, is totally vindicated and holding his head high once again. Let's hope a formal apology is forthcoming from Starmer. What a scandalous way it was, to treat his predecessor.
But back to PM Carrie. She knows that the future will be on two wheels. Particularly in London, if she can work amicably with Mayor Khan. It's a huge overcrowded city with a growing population. Suburban roads clogged with parked cars .... many of which there's barely space to get a car down without incurring a few bumps. Instead of car horns we want to hear the birds singing in the trees, or the occasional gentle tinkle of a bicycle bell. I wish her luck.

Oh shit...I was thinking about Thatcher! 😳 May was such a nightmare/disaster/f**kup...she has been erased from my memory! 🤯 I’m off to bed with Sleepy Joe...not in the biblical sense! ☺️

...and on top of all that, Fairytale in New York by the Pogues has been banned from the radio because of the word ‘f*g**t!’ Yet again, words fail me!

All those years ago when old man Occam came up with his brilliant idea, he was doing something simple...shaving.
I have mentioned before, that I used to look after intellectually disabled prisoners. Some of these guys would lose the plot completely, and would have to be restrained on numerous occasions! Then you had to get out of them why all this was happening, and in the vast majority of cases it was something quite simple.
Such is the case with the woman/person above! All she needs is a sound Rodgering to blow the wax out of her ears so she can listen to the people around her, although she probably won’t like what they’re saying.
The problem we have here though, is who is brave enough to administer said Rodgering!

Another fine article from the Daily Mail provided to us by Reg. Worth a click even if it's just to see an old Royal Enfield in the snow. However, if it's the stats rather than the pics that are of more interest, then the revelation that 'In fact, 2006-07, 2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2018-19, and 2019-20 were all in the top 10 warmest winters, with this year expected to turn the trend' will surely have Reg exclaiming that this global warming phenomenon is playing havoc with the law of averages, as far as British weather is concerned.
Not far off 12 months since the General Election that brought Prime Minister BoJo to power. I remember that as a contributor to TFF's unrivalled coverage leading up to election day, I used Piers Corbyn's forecast as to what we could expect weatherwise on polling day. Piers, elder brother of independent MP, Jeremy Corbyn, still has his main occupation listed as 'Weather Forecaster', and appears to find a market among those willing to pay for his forecasts which can tip you off about the weather 12 months hence (allegedly).
Despite being due to celebrate his 74th birthday in march next year, Piers shows no signs of slowing down, and puts a lot of energy into attending meetings and informing the public as to his assessment regarding Covid-19 etc. Younger brother Jezza, giving no indication of a readiness to retire either, despite Sir Keir doing all he can to push the former Party leader in that direction.

I think the words...as we draw nearer to Christmas...adds quite a bit of credence to my assumption that the bookies are behind this!
How Corbett’s brother got into this conversation is beyond me, but when he’s involved in anything, I always feel a bad moon arising! 😞

Minor spelling differences aside, I had intended nominating Dolly Parton's mate, Kenny Rogers for the task, only to remember that he passed away back in March of this year, and hopefully for his sake, blissfully unaware of the onset on the Great Reset that was about to start engulfing mankind about then. But things move at such a pace, that 'Remotely Interested' thoughts have already partially moved on to the Christmas weather.
So with Kenny unavailable for selection, it'll have to be Don Rogers to strip off his tracksuit ready for action. Evidence that it really was colder back in the early 1970's .... a week and a half before Christmas (16th December 1972) and proper long sleeved football shirts required to prevent your arms turning to blocks of ice. Show 'em how it's done Don !

The game for which Tommy Docherty was sat just behind his "friend" Frank O'Farrell waiting to jump into his grave.
