Should have kept the faith and held your nerve! (Easy to say that when you haven’t a shed load of cash riding on it)

Well Woking were right out the traps from the word go and we couldn't handle their number 8 and 9. Very imppessive pair, as they say. The game for us hinged on the elbow on Keating, which on another day would have been red and the the subsequent subs of Keating and Hall. What can you say about Ben 'Eeyore' Gerring and it 'twas written in the stars that at some time in the game he'd get sent off. 3 - 1 down with 10 minutes to go, I couldn't see a result (shows what I know) and bing bang and it's 3 - 3. Thought Woking were a nasty and niggly side when they played us at home twice and on yesterdays showing I hope Wealdstone go up via the play offs. Hadn’t realised it wasn’t Gerring who assaulted Keating

As I have mentioned before, the majority of my money I give to Buddhist causes...so I'll have to give them a little less than I would have! It really is "The Thought" that counts!

Hope you enjoyed your free curry, Jon. ‘He’s one of our own, he’s one of our o-own, Ben Gerring....’ No verbal contract was agreed nor a written one signed - Jon bottled the challenge I'm afraid!!! Haha. I could sense there was some dispute.

Good to see you back Reg... but you have still only given us half the story !! If you cashed out at £16,000 just how much would you have potentially won this time next week if you had held your nerve ?

A very good report from Rob earlier that says it all really. Having to watch from the away end i liked the way we just kept going and passing when all seemed lost. The away support looked impressive and i personally think those yellow smoke bombs look amazing in amongst the celebrations. Thankfully i managed to persuade a policeman that i was a Torquay fan and he opened the gate for me to enter the away terrace. I wont forget that trip for a while...happy days !

link - I see Ruairi is out for the season after suffering a cheekbone fracture. With Asa also suffering an injury we do not need an extra few games in the playoffs so the draw yesterday was very welcome.

Having watched the Woking match highlights, I noticed two instances of laws or instructions being continually contravened:
1) Every corner kick was taken with the ball outside the quadrant; 2) Every substitute, in having their studs checked, merely lifted both feet about six inches above the ground while the official was looking the other way.
These are both "offences" which could influence the outcome of a match, and yet players who remove their shirts in delight after scoring a goal, as Ben Wynter did, are shown a yellow card, when this action will in no way influence the outcome of a match.

Re corner kicks. I haven’t looked closely, Stewart, but all teams tend to take advantage of the fact that merely touching a blade of grass with white marking on it on the very edge is deemed to be within the legal playing area these days. It will often give the impression of being outside the legal playing area. But often isn’t as the kicker finds the furthest blade with a bit of white and clips that on placing, with the rest of the ball nearer to the goal.

Well deserved for Cameron, Hall and Reid. A very decent spine. Gerring must’ve got in on Torquay votes for his performance at Kingfield against us. Thought Straker looked good against us at Bath. Ryan Clarke has obviously had a decent season for them as well.
