Good chance for Duku at the death but Chorley were worthy winners, anyone back for Tuesday?

Couple of chances for Duku at the end but you would not back him to take them at the moment.
There was a huge contrast in confidence between him and Olaf at Elmore on Tuesday. Duku got one almost despite himself, whereas Olaf always looks like scoring when he had the chance.

Andrews will be suspended I believe - it gets worse by the day. Reid injury is it the bunion or ligaments?
Back up squad players are just not doing it.

What's happening...no decent run of results...losing to Chorley...Barrow winning again and going top of the league? Who could have predicted all this?

Murder on the pitch, and a 'Bastard' of a commentary off it. Such a short while ago that we were doing so well, yet it feels as if the wheels have come off just recently. Yet a calm analysis from any of us surely indicates that 90% of the cause is down to a catastrophic injury situation that any non-league club just wouldn't have the immediate resources or methods to overcome. Not quite a youth team that we have to field, but compared to the wily old pros facing us, we're a little wet behind the ears. It's probably been a useful learning experience, but that doesn't garner us any precious points. rjdgull links to the Official match report. And I hope that site isn't having a go at my personal favourite 'Terry' Medford-Smith. Indicating that Liam Davis played the whole 90 minutes is in very poor taste. Is this suggesting that Davis with a broken ankle would be better than our 'Terry' ?, or that Liam needed to be out on the pitch showing young Medford the ropes ? It's a bad patch, but we know the reasons, and attributing individual blame will make matters worse rather than better. Also we're not drastically adrift from the top, and so with a few experienced heads back, we can be firing on all cylinders going into the new year, and with a decent amount of time to still mount a credible challenge. Bad luck to 'Terry' and the rest of the lads today. Below: Official site indicate that Liam Davis played all 90 minutes as well as Medford-Smith.

Johnson post match feed back - and pulls no punches. “A lack of absolute quality, they were better than us,” Talk of moving those on that are not good enough.

I do feel for GJ he's in an impossible situation with very little room to maneuver. To his credit he never brings it up in interview or even remotely uses it as an excuse - he doesn't have to does he? Those of who have followed our "progress" in the last 14 months know who the key squad players were / are and nearly every one is missing through injury. It's patch up team at the moment and its inevitable with a massive loss of quality in key areas we are not going to pose the same threat. This dreadful injury situation was always a possibility and one we all hoped would never occur but it has and we need to be patient even though it looks like we will be more than likely sliding down the table instead of challenging at the top with a full and fit compliment of players..
So disappointing that only a few weeks ago we were hailed as the best side to visit Halifax this season but we have to face the facts the quality has been diluted by our average second string.

Nothings changed - we still have the best manager in the division with the correct philosophy. Just have to ride out the storm and it will all come good again I'm very certain of that.

So disappointing that only a few weeks ago we were hailed as the best side to visit Halifax this season but we have to face the facts the quality has been diluted by our average second string. Since Halifax, we have lost Davis, Vincent and Reid, a defender, midfielder and our top scorer. Whitfield and Andrews also just recovered from knocks and with the other absentees it is a bridge too far. The Calvary are on the horizon though and won’t take much to get us back to where we were. That run we went on was with a lot of players out and bodes well when we approach near full strength. So short term is not good but things will get better.....

Looking at the highlights Shaun MacDonald saved us from an even more embarrassing score line. Should have leveled it at least though once he saved the pen.

I think we need some postponements, otherwise I can see our season going downhill faster than Eddie the Eagle on speed! Probably a bad choice, but I don't know the names of any other downhill skiers.
Tomorrow we face the mighty Eastleigh, who haven't won a game since Noah woke up and found it was raining. Only result I can see us getting there, is if it is...well raining.
The mighty Chorley travel to the even mightier Barrow tomorrow, where they (Barrow) will show how you beat the bottom club.
If we hadn't had a bit of fortune (red card) against Barrow a few weeks ago, we would be twelve points adrift of them now. Not such a big deal in the league below, but in this league?
So get out your Red Indian Head Thingies, and get dancing round the fire!
So yet again we persist in the Carthorse Duku, instead of the 'Fleet of Foot' Olaf! I can hear the conversation in the Dumpling years from now: 'I think we should have played Olaf today!' 'But he's only Forty Three and not ready for the first team yet!'
'I'll tell you what though, I'll bet you a Curry he'll play in the next Ten years...what's your name again?'
