Strange that Johnson appears to have broken his own rule divulging, in detail, the current injuries as tonight's NottinghamLive has this headline: 'Torquay United boss confirms huge injury blow ahead of Notts County clash'. By doing so has he handed Notts a psychological advantage? Or is it one big bluff?

Just read this on the .com forum. Would explain a lot and no doubt a closely guarded secret when no news whatsoever has emerged since one of the most effective players in the first third of the season was injured.
"Nemane suffered a freak accident broken leg in the gym when doing rehab from his initial injury, hamstring was it? I can't remember."
The tight fixture schedule imposed has had a huge impact on injuries in our division, its ongoing with managers desperate to get layers back maybe too quickly. I fear that we will be weaker again this coming Saturday against good opposition determined to break into the playoffs. I don't want to tempt fate but we if lose a couple more and we could in what could be a very competitive fixture it could still destroy our season

link - We had space for one more loanee and Johnson has gone with a wide player, young Bristol Rovers player Lucas Tomlinson.

I see there is some discussion on another forum as to whether Boden will be able to play in our important game against Chesterfield as he is on loan from them. There was no definitive answer. Nobody knows if it is a clause in the loan agreement or even if such clauses are still allowed.
Let us hope not, as with our injury situation and maybe a suspension or two to come we can ill afford to lose anybody who is fit to play. ⚽️

We don’t know. Would suggest he wouldn’t start Saturday and Monday anyway so maybe not that big a deal particularly if Wright and/or Kimpioka are back by then.

While watching Saturday's match, I kept wondering if Mark Ellis would ever consider a move back to his home county. He was one of my favourite players back in the day. Tranmere Rovers are unlikely to retain him, especially if they are promoted to League One, however Notts County might offer him another year or two.
There are probably a number of questions which would make such a move unlikely. Would Gary Johnson want him? Would he be prepared to uproot his family from the north? Given the failures in the past when former players such as Holmes, Goodridge and Graham came back for another go, would it work?
The answer to these questions is probably no more than maybe, but I would be delighted to see him back at Plainmoor with the opportunity to do another "Branston" among our young defenders.

Let's hope Moxey and Lewis are ok after having to be subbed this evening or otherwise we are potentially down to 3 defenders again with no one able to play at left back. Feels like we are winning a war of attrition with Johnson a WW1 general sending the squad over the top to victories but with a steady stream of casualties limping out of the fray. As Johnson said tonight, I can almost fill the stadium up with injured players! Nemane was wearing a boot so looks doubtful he will be in the cavalry riding to the rescue.

It is certainly not the strongest squad I have seen at Plainmoor but it seems to have the most dogged determination to keep plugging away running right through it ⚽️

A very good attribute to have at this end of a season. That said, it won’t be enough to get us over the line unless some key ingredients come back fighting for places soon, I don’t think.

I'm afraid I agree with Rob on this. Our final six games, more specifically the next four are extremely tough while some of our rivals have relatively easier fixtures thanks to, as Stefano has pointed out, the absence of relegation allowing those teams with nothing to play for to field mickey mouse line ups.

link - At the end of this post match report from Dave Thomas he mentions that Lewis is not badly injured at all and should be back quickly. Sounds very promising.

More than 4 defenders fit is optimal. With Boden dropping out of the squad tomorrow, hopefully Lewis is considered ready for the bench as it sounds like Warren maybe justified retaining his place in the X1 with his performance yesterday.

Good news regards Joe Lewis. With Cameron on the verge of a return, hopefully not temporary again, things could be looking good on that front. Two players Warren and Waters should be congratulated on their performances and effort yesterday. Both players have been on the periphery of the starting eleven for long periods but have shown they are very capable. Didn't appear to be any additions to the injury list from yesterday's very fine effort though I winced a bit when CLE took a heavy knock early on but fortunately went on to run it off. Can only see Boden as the only change and Kimpioka starting if all are fit, healthy and chomping at the bit unless GJ decides to rest Moxey or Warren who, unsurprisingly struggle with the compacted fixtures
Watched the Hartlepool v Chesterfield game. Our opponents tomorrow were pretty dire in the first 45 minutes when they looked like conceding with every Pool attack though Hartlepool did indeed look pretty potent and well up for it. They Improved somewhat second half and had most of the possession pulling back the deficit with a single strike as Pool sat on their three goal cushion. Chesterfield have some very capable players and reckon if the experienced Danny Rowe is given time and space he could cause problems along with one or two others.

Tongue in cheek question: is Max Sheaf, reportedly on a season long loan, still with us?
