About six months wages at a guess.... And 5.5 million on new yacht 🛥 JUVENTUS could pay Maurizio Sarri up to £27million in compensation after sacking the Italian.

link - short plug for the new season tickets with a short video with Johnson, however also mentions PSF with games against Exeter, Hemel Hempstead, Bournemouth U23s and recent league opponents Bath and Chippenham.

It will be nice to get the pre season dates in even as they are be played behind closed doors as you can still get a feel from reporting on the build up. A delay of a couple of weeks means training may be starting this weekend although the normal build up of five to six weeks would suggest no earlier than the following weekend but these are not normal times.
No news on CLE signing yet two weeks on from the others but surely this must be very soon now?

Concur - the playing of friendlies will begin to reveal the nature/structure of the team GJ may be putting out come the season proper. Pre season is always a time when anticipation and expectation levels are high. Have got a feeling that this season will be one that will fulfil expectations.

Would imagine CLE, if he is indeed the final piece of the jigsaw, is still on furlough with Bristol City and nothing will be announced until we can actually pay him a wage. GJ said himself how fortunate it was that the club didn't take the playing staff of furlough when it looked likely the season would be starting in early September. Apparently a number of clubs did jump the gun in that respect and are paying the price. No news as to where Kalvin Kalala is heading but must have suffered financially since he refused a contract - pretty poor advise from his agent imho.

link - to start a season you must also end it and this date has been pushed backed to 29 May for all National League sides with play offs in June. There will be very little break for these sides in particular and just a month or so until Pre season starts again for most.

No news yet on any streaming that the club intend to do but see that Mansfield/ Peterborough streamed their PSF for a fiver, obviously featuring a player we all know well and love - link

No news yet on any streaming that the club intend to do but see that Mansfield/ Peterborough streamed their PSF for a fiver, obviously featuring a player we all know well and love - linkI would imagine the biggest hurdle with getting streaming up and running will be around the issue of broadcast rights for the National League. I don't know if BT still hold the rights for this coming season but I would assume the money the clubs get from it won't be enough to see them through a period where fans are banned from attending. That being the case it is the duty of the National League to help the clubs as much as they possibly can to set up their own streaming services and if necessary find ways around any problems relating to a broadcast partner. At the moment it is not clear if the season is actually going to start. I am concerned about the abandonment of the live spectator events in snooker and county cricket. If those can't go ahead with what are to all intents and purposes more passive spectators than football fans I don't see how we are going to see live crowds at football matches. If this season doesn't go ahead it could see the end of football at all levels between League One and the South West Peninsula and it's equivalents because too many clubs will fold.

link - National League is still listed as part of their live football scene. The thing is, their coverage is minimal with a featured match and brief highlights elsewhere of mainly goals . The sums involved are relatively speaking peanuts, it was £7000 for the home side and £1000 for the away side if your game is televised which is little more than compensation for the drop in live crowds with some preferring to watch elsewhere. With Covid-19, we actually have a material change of circumstances where demand for viewing will be higher with those unwilling or unable to attend games in reduced capacity grounds and surely this must be a source of additional income for clubs to tap into? Do not know how the contract with BT is structured but any exclusivity could see no National League so can see potential for compromise as you suggest via the NL allowing streaming as per the EFL model. I agree with you about the risk of football restarting with new cases of coronavirus going the wrong way due to lockdown fatigue and lack of social distancing although paradoxically it has got better locally (Devon - average of 4 positive cases a day reducing to 2 cases in the past week) despite the busy tourist season.

link - so training to start on 24 August, a week on Monday although initially in groups of five and in a non contact way. Exeter match pencilled in for 5 September, a week before their season starts but 4 weeks before ours so at a big disadvantage but all part of getting up to speed.

link - nice to see that fans can return to non league grounds below national league level at step 3 and below. A bit of common sense as fans will be able to socially distance relatively well at this level. It will mean that our league will be the last to get going then.....
