Warren earns an injury time penalty for Wright to confidently dispatch for a 2-1 win! Much the better side in the second half. All the better win considering how many people are out injured. Can’t be far short of a full side!

Great penalty from Danny Wright, however hes looked so poor otherwise. Well deserved win, completley monopolised the second half.

Their manager has just broken the world record for most you knows ever in an interview.

Didn't watch and only listened and managed to catch the last 20 minutes but sounded like a very good performance where we finally got our footballing game together for ninety minutes.
As we all are, GJ will be encouraged and a huge confidence booster for the squad. Warren finally makes a start from the bench and wins the pen in the last minutes - undoubtedly the best time to score but the GJ proven philosophy of attacking till the end came good again though that tactic always carries a risk it paid off once again today and we played some good football by all accounts. Did the front line look more mobile/ balanced today? Some big scores in the division today, somewhat expected with so many fixtures stacked up this month and some with smaller semi pro squads something that should work in the favor of the full timers including ourselves.
That win puts a whole different complexion on things after our narrow loss and poor second half on Tuesday. Hopefully no more injury setbacks ahead of another tough encounter v Chesterfield this week. This opening period against good sides is a stern test. Time to be positive again!

We were unlucky to be down at half-time but stepped up a notch in the second half to dominate the game with some excellent passing.
We look so much better for playing 4-4-2. Whitfield, Nemane and Wynter all looked like they had a weight lifted by being allowed to play in their proper positions. Andrews was the only square peg in a round hole left. He did o.k. but was just starting to look like he was being exposed when Johnson pulled him off, brought on Warren and switched Cameron to left back. Cameron looked comfortable out there and put in two great crosses when overlapping - one leading to Nemane missing a sitter.
Looked like we were going to be denied the win we so deserved until that injury time pen. Surprised we left it so late to freshen things up front by bringing Olaf on.
So many positives. Randell was superb meaning we did not miss Hall and can now see his presence as a bonus rather than his absence as a disaster. Can’t see Asa playing 180 minutes a week. Moxey back at left back will be a plus - a proper left back. Nemane and Whitfield played well.
Hats off to Bromley for the excellent coverage. Very well done to them for that.

It's a more than satisfactory start to the season, given how we've had to shuffle players around. Today's game on a plastic pitch, a surface we often struggle on, a tough away fixture midweek at Eastleigh, and a home fixture against the promotion favourites, a Stockport team full of ability. Had we drawn all three I don't think I'd have complained much, so to have double the points is very pleasing. Maybe a 4 point haul from the two home games to come ? ... should keep us well in contention with the leading pack.
Early signs indicate some strong northern teams in the form of Hartlepool, Stockport, and Notts County, but too early to draw hard and fast conclusions on anyone. Asa Hall not dragged up to Bromley and back so available to continue his ongoing fight for full fitness as a bit part player, or maybe more in the home fixtures coming up. New players and loan players still settling in, so positives outweighing the negatives for the moment. Let's hope it stays that way, although it is a funny old game.

Fully agree with that, rub of the green with the penalty but some very good football played, Nemane and Whitfield are a handful and compliment each other well. Very good passing football played and we were able to take control particularly as the match wore on.
