A fast open game on a good pitch, surely any 'Neutrals' watching will be thoroughly enjoying it as well. We've taken our chances brilliantly and are good value for the half time lead.

How enjoyable is this?
Totally dominant.
Look like champions.
Excellent shape. Love the 4-2-3-1 with Wright leading the line.
Asa will only last an hour so important to have it wrapped up before he is subbed.

5-0....What a performance!Looked like the Leeds team of the 70s in the white kits. Molyneux of Hartlepool looks like a very good player.

Goals from everywhere in this team. Particularly if your surname starts with W Johnson brings on another W in the form of Warren to score for a brilliant 5-0 win.

Asa will only last an hour so important to have it wrapped up before he is subbed. ... and number four wrapped it up nicely. When Little got ready to come on on exactly 60 minutes I was getting ready to boast that I had it right to the second. But Gary took off Whitfield and left Asa on for another five minutes. Sort it out Johnson!

A five star performance which was by no means a fluke and very much well deserved against a previously unbeaten team. I wasn’t expecting this result but not surprised either as we have been creating the chances but were much more clinical with them tonight.
The Aldershot game has I think, given the players bags of confidence and Wright in particular has settled down well in the side now scoring a brace and hat trick in the same week. Playing on his own up front seems to suit him with a talented midfield behind him, able to give plenty of service. I think it was a Randell perfectly weighted pass for Wright’s first goal, his service to Wynter who flicked on an intelligent aheader for his second and finally CLE and Whitfield combined well for his third.
Still early days but do not think there is a team in our league that we need to particularly fear....😀

Thanks rjdgull.....Plymouth must have a bloody good team if they can afford to leave out Randell. He hardly put a foot wrong today..looks like he has a bright future.

Would be good if that bright future was yellow - well for as long as possible.

link - National League highlights which included an extended version of our match and analysis as the featured game. Thought the service for all three of Wright’s goals was excellent with his third being put on the plate with a great combination from CLE and Whitfield. The other two goals were defensive errors, Whitfield pounced on a poor pass and his goal epitomised his work rate and anticipation. Cameron had a free header from a corner at the end with Warren firing home the loose ball from close range - first goal for 8 years apparently. Not shown in the above clip but in Johnson’s post match interview when asked to comment on how well we defended, said how he likes to tell his players to imagine their mums are standing in the goal and if they do let a shot off, asks them “don’t you love your mum?” 🤣

A good site which I enjoy reading. I see that is now the fourth hat trick scored under Johnson’s time with us, the last was Andrews in January 2019 and perhaps unsurprisingly, both Reid and Janneh did the same at the end of 2018. It was during that period that Johnson also broke the club record with 10 consecutive league wins, we are halfway there with five, if we beat Crawley next week then that is 7 in all competitions.
