Good shout simonb ...guessing Chesterfield boss followed your advice. Hopefully we will do the same. Funny though. Chesterfield have dumped a load of their surplus to requirements squad players on furlough because they couldn't get loaned out due to lower leagues being suspended. I wonder if they think they can make up a bench on the cheap.

Unethical if not illegal.

Unethical if not illegal. If someone is made redundant then the employer cannot take on anyone in the same post for at least six months. Furlough could be referred to as a form of redundancy so surely Chesterfield are sailing pretty close to the wind.

Yes and that is good. It means Notts County won't win their next four. That is just the way it works! 😉⚽️ I would normally be inclined to agree with you Stefano. That would mean a Law of Averages though, and as I have been informed there is no such thing. That would also mean the Chinese belief in Yin and Yang ☯️ is wrong, the belief that the Universe is in a constant flux of order and chaos is wrong, the Mayan belief... So sadly (though not unforeseen by some 🙋♂️) Notts County will in all likelihood win their next four games. Notts County 0 Chesterfield 1 ..... Quindi..... Knowledge of football? nil; Knowledge of Yin and Yang and some Mayan thing? nil; Contribution to forum......? Observations in respect of these questions are welcome from averagely sane posters!

You need to read my post again Setefano, in particular the line containing the words Law of Averages. Don’t worry though, I know I will have to return later to explain it! Painting my hallway at the moment...Mellow Mocha. 🦪 I’m saddened that you feel I don’t contribute enough to the forum...I will increase my input Post Haste. 😉

I believe in the Law of Averages...whilst other don’t...are you any the wiser? Ok, I’ll make it simple...I knew Notts County would in all likelihood not win their next four games, because of the Law of Averages. You’re right about one thing in your post though, my knowledge of football is nil! The reason it’s nil is out of respect for my parents, because they gave me life, and I feel it would be disrespectful to them if I hadn’t actually used it.

Again in response to Register..having lived in Morocco for so many years I really appreciate the opportunity to keep in touch with what is happening at Plainmoor. I had trials at age 12 and...quite rightly ..deemed not good enough, but have always been a supporter and get to games whenever possible. I think it is important we all feel comfortable expressing opinions and equally important that we remain courteous and respectful of others. Good manners cost nothing.

No midweek game tomorrow for the Gulls but there are a couple of games where our immediate rivals for the top spot could come unstuck. Hartlepool go to mid-table Halifax never an easy place to go and Halifax themselves are only 7 points off the play off positions so have plenty to motivate them. Sutton United are at home to Bromley but Bromley are no mugs and are on the verge of the play off positions being only two places below at present. Could be plenty of smiles around Torbay come 9 o'clock tomorrow evening. ⚽️

Sutton currently losing 0-1 at home to Bromley. 7pm kick off. Pools leading Halifax by the same score.
