Fair result pleased with the point. Umerah lucky to stay on the pitch and had little impact. Good stream, one of the best.

Two big games coming up and I'd settle for a point from each one. I'm going to revise this. Happy with the point at Meadow Lane, but now see that Sutton can catch us on points with their 3 games in hand, so hoping/praying for a win.

Probably a bit of both. Pulled off late on on Tuesday because he was feeling a knock. Better to have him 100% against Sutton than risk pushing things and have him out for longer. At least I hope it is just a precaution and nothing more serious. We are spoilt for choice with attacking midfielders but nobody else gives you what Hall gives you. Surprised Umerah is ahead of Street in the pecking order. A decent squad player but thought Street would be a significant upgrade. I expect his time will come maybe sooner than later. GJ just confirmed Asa not too far away so fingers crossed.

Happy with that. A bit more quality up front could have nicked all three points.
Comes to something when we are disappointed not to win at Notts County.
Good win for Sutton today and they are now looking our biggest challengers.
Would love to win Tuesday to widen the gap further. A real six-pointer.
Concerned that Warren had to go off as we had no defender on the bench. Hope at leat one of Wynter, Warren or Kerr is fit for Tuesday.

I wasn't very optimistic about this one beforehand and at 0 - 0 towards the end it was sweaty palm stuff. On the negative side the raw data is that we've taken one point from the last two matches but on the positive, we've stretched our lead and it's points in the bag that count. As of now, Sutton will have to win all their games in hand by a handsome margin to overtake us so Tuesday night will be a real opportunity to put a bigger gap between us and them.
Picking out one player, why are so many on the various forums so anti Josh Umerah? A few years back it was the same for Jamie Reid (who is now on song for Mansfield). I thought Umerah put himself around very well when he came on and, with a bit more luck, could have scored albeit that he needs to learn not to react to the niggles from defenders who wouldn't want him in their faces.

The big one on Tuesday - a real six pointer if ever there was one. There win today was aided when Eastliegh had a player sent off in the 34th minute but are undoubtedly our biggest threat - at this stage of the season anyway but whatever the result it will not decide a thing just yet.
Thought our commitment and application was tremendous today and Notts raised there game accordingly. Need that to continue into Tuesday.

Hardly an unexpected score line, after a totally pointless trip midweek.
People look at the physical side of players, I look at the physical and mental side...for obvious reasons.
It’s happened to all of us: the wife/girlfriend/boyfriend want us to go shopping for hours, or sit with the mother in law for hours! We don’t want to do that, and because of that the life simply drains away from us...and stays drained away for days!
The Torquay players look upon this competition (the Grail) for what it is...a heap of shit! And so the next game (Notts County) their jaded and can’t be arsed to run that extra yard for what would have been three points. And what’s coming up in a week or two...another mammoth journey and pointless game. Shit, even Karma is telling us to get out of this competition.
Of course all of that will fall upon deaf ears and out will come the knowledge!
As I always say to Mrs Register to keep her happy...you know best! 🥰

Thought both sides worked incredibly hard and don’t recognise what you are saying about them being fatigued. Think a few of our players were not at their best but don’t blame it on playing their second match in 3 weeks.

We looked pretty fresh I thought after the midweek exploits and the energy was very good right from the off. Rarely do we see as low start from this set of players and thats been key to setting the patern in games. How many times in past seasons under various managers have we started games with our heads still in the dressing room? Anything less yesterday and we would have been in trouble against a pretty good Notts side who passed it well - occasionally it's inevitable we will play teams just as motivated as ourselves. Personally I don't think there were any really poor performances yesterday and find it hard to crticise any player who gives 100% even if things dont quite come off. We have been spoiled by the high level we have set and on heavy grounds its never going to look as pretty and flowing. The good thing is the players are highly motivated and can smell success.

I didn’t think our 3 of Whitfield, CLE and Nemane had particularly good games by their high standards.

Think a few of our players were not at their best but don’t blame it on playing their second match in 3 weeks. It doesn’t matter if it was their second match in 3 months, what matters is the fact that the match before the Notts County game was the Grail...it ‘mentally’ fatigues not physically fatigues! These are players on the cusp of doing something brilliant, taking a non league team into the league...now that is the Holy Grail. And what do they see...they see the opportunity slipping through their fingers. And why is it slipping away...because every couple of weeks they spend the whole day travelling to a God Forsaken ground to take part in the biggest White Elephant competition on the planet! I really can’t explain anymore.
