Suddenly four wins in five games and the gap is closing, six points behind Sutton and four points behind Hartlepool, three games in hand against the latter team of course. Hartlepool came from behind to get a point with an outfield player in goal for nearly an hour! Still think they will push us all the way, along with the two Counties (Notts and Stockport) and maybe even Chesterfield who have shot up the table after a dreadful start. Sutton don't have a game on Saturday so we could be just three points behind when we play them, let's see how they cope with the pressure. They have made a habit in recent seasons of falling away in the closing stages, many of their fans think they don't really want promotion as their plastic pitch is such a huge part of their community model. Dover giving them a nice rest. Pity we couldn’t rearrange Weymouth for when they ‘have Dover’ in a couple of Saturday’s time (17/4) and we also have no game as originally penned for Macc. I’d be surprised if we hadn’t made an enquiry.

Great result..especially as we could face Wrexham in the play off. Hope the Kimpioka substitution was precautionary. If not..unbelievably bad luck.

Respect to that, reminds me of the time that Sills did the same for us, was it against Forest Green? Hartlepool are up there and definitely are in the running for the title and could go top on Saturday if they can overcome Notts County at home in the televised match.

That is the way to do it give them no time to get back! Onwards we march as the Sutton United implosion continues with only 1 win in 6 now 🤣⚽️ Yep they are in that tricky run of away games with just us and Stockport at home, still not losing but we have made up some ground and potentially -we could draw level with them on points by next Tuesday albeit having played a game more but with a 10 point gap before the two Easter games, it shows how quickly things can change around as we head to the end of season climax.

I think the gaffer was right in that we gave the ball away too much and un- necessarily but more so in the second half as we started very well. Randell stood out for me, particularly in that he was playing out of position.

Started promisingly but couldn’t get into top gear. Two evenly-matched sides. Both solid enough but neither with any cutting edge. Could have gone either way,
Credit to our young back four for another clean sheet.
When you keep clean sheets, you only need one scrappy goal to take three points.
Really hope that Kimpioka is o.k. Waters and Boden did not seem to carry much attacking threat.
Could go top next Tuesday!
Certainly not playing anything like champions at the moment, but we will be a different proposition when Nemane and Whitfield are back. Let’s hope we can keep scraping the 1-0s until then.

TUFC highlights - different angle of the goal as seen on the live stream. Still weird to hear the relative silence of the ground after scoring a crucial goal.

I did not stream the game but having watched the highlights a couple of times I think we looked good. I appreciate it is only highlights, but if Mr Johnson was not happy with the performance then there is better to come.
There was plenty of good movement, several decent chances, and a real determination in defence to keep a clean sheet.
The one automatic promotion place available may not have seen the last of the Gulls this season. ⚽️
