It was exactly 10 games ago that Stefano made the first of his Gloomy predictions, 0-7 to Kings Lynn, and the team haven't looked back since, accruing 25 points, the same tally as in the first ten games of the season; the difference being half the team have been out injured although that is not to take anything away from those that have come in and battled hard for the cause. Compare this to the injury hit 10 game "iceberg run" before Kings Lynn which saw us get a "relegation form" 7 points, a drastic change of fortune so maybe there is something in this voodoo.... So the only team we lost to in the first 10 games of the season was of course, Eastleigh, one of our bogey teams and listening to the yellow army podcast earlier, we haven't won in our last 9 games against them and only managed the one draw. We are definitely due a win against them but they have fought their way into a play off position and won their last 3 games with that 1-0 against Sutton and two wins against Notts County so all decent opposition and will be confident. Umerah is back from his one game suspension and there has been talk of Kimpioka and Little being ready for this one but perhaps more likely as subs if at all as mooted returns have turned out to be somewhat optimistic. Hopefully Lewis and Moxey will have recovered from their knocks. It has been an intense season but once this Bank Holiday weekend is over then we just need to focus on the next 4 Saturdays so would be great to still be top come Monday evening. COYY!

link - bit more team news in Dave Thomas’s prematch report. Hopeful for Little and Kimpioka back this weekend and Cameron and Whitfield in the next 10 days and actually need both now with other possible injuries. No news on Wright which could be a bad thing but then again Johnson isn’t going to be singing that from the rooftops. Oh, Boden not eligible to play on Monday but wasn’t going to do 90 minutes twice in three days.

Another very tough encounter against a buoyant Eastliegh side who have had some pretty impressive victories over our closest rivals both at home and away and seem to be able to raise their game against the tougher opposition.
Would be great to see one or two returning from injury for our run in and its starting to look a little more promising in that department though we've had our hopes raised and dashed a few times. Can't help thinking our good fortune of late at some point will turn. Hope it's not tomorrow we simply cannot keep relying on 9th minute of injury time winners!! Having said that the spirit is fantastic - it sounded like the ground was half full when scored that last gasp winner on Tuesday night. All our injured or squad cheering. Thought that was great and demonstrated the winning spirit and mentality right through the squad. Shame we cannot witness at first hand these incredible games but hopefully we'll all be back pretty soon.
Fancy Boden and Waters to start as Tuesday, they started well together with some good options on the bench though I cant see Lewis making it after what looked like a hip injury that may keep him out for a while. Been hinted that Kyle Cameron will soon be available I hope that's the case we may well need his experience for the very difficult run in ..
No doubt Eastleigh will come here to win and steal the three points. I expect them to be more positive than Aldershot and as tricky as Notts County.
Looking forward to the game with the hope we can consolidate our position at the top but as always open minded.

Feel this will be a tight one. We can’t afford to switch off defending dead balls and we cannot be wasteful of chances.
The fact we face two matches in three days and a long journey in between means we must be careful how we manage our limited resources. If we make our high energy start, we must take the lead and then control the pace of the game so we have enough left in the tank for Monday.
If Lewis is out, assuming Cameron not yet ready, we are down to our last four defenders. Cannot see Warren and Moxey playing 180 minutes in three days, so let’s hope we have one of the two available - preferably today but if not for Monday.
Word is that Little and Kimpioka may be available. Would not be surprised to see the front six unchanged and the returning two welcome additions to the bench. Would expect Kimpioka to start on Monday as it seems Chesterfield will not allow Boden to play. Little would add another freshening up option.
Fingers crossed for an early lead held on to in a relaxed and controlled manner. We don’t always get what we want. Let’s hope we get what we need.

Lewis out so Warren and Moxey start. Would not be so worried about that if we did not have such a tough game on Monday.
The rest unchanged. Little, Kimpioka and Umerah give us some bench options with Tomlinson and Koszela dropping out of the 16. Guess Buse at full-back is our emergency defensive cover option unless we drop Andrews, Hall or Randell back.

Bare bones again defensively a major concern with Warren and Moxey struggling for fitness all season. Stronger bench offensively as always GJ will be gfoing all out for the three points. Shit or bust as the saying goes.

I am thinking of asking whoever it is that does the birds eye view of the line up on the BBC website to get in touch with you urgently.....

Hope we are not going to keep scoring like that all afternoon distracting me while I am watching Toulouse v Bordeaux Begles. 6 minutes as well not 96! 😉
