Better team in the second half with all the chances but could not break them down. Glorious chance for Kimpioka at the death but either needed a little chip or to put more on it. |

A pretty dour contest in dour conditions. Not the end of the world but sutton and stockport will be delighted we dropped points. Didnt show enough quality where it mattered fought hard as did Bromley though i thought we played with less intent than we have of late. Should make top three with a seven point advantage over Hartlepool but its all very much up in the air and stockport will see next weeks game as their chance to take the title. As predicted a massive game for both clubs.

Our destiny could be decided by how soon Wright can return. Having a target man who can hold the ball up and bring others into play gives you options.

We have managed to eek out results without the big man but we missed him today against a pretty solid back line where we were desperate to have a front man to hold up the ball and bring others into play in dangerous areas.. Whatever the outcome we have done incredibly well to put ourselves in this position but the missing, injured and key players has made it hard work when it was all looking so fluent and easy before Xmas. Ben Whitfield and Aron Nemane have also been sorely missed they just add that bit of spark and directness to our forward play that we could see was lacking today. Would love to win the thing and still hopeful but I believe we may well have to go through the play off lottery. |
