Have to feel sorry for any fans who missed the best game in years 😁
Pick of the goals for me was Little’s second and our fifth. The way he danced through the County defence and dinked the ball over the keeper was sublime ⚽️

Have to feel sorry for any fans who missed the best game in years 😁 Actually I feel like a jammy bastard because this was the first game I've attended since the pandemic and at the moment I can't think of any better game I've seen, certainly not since the 2014 return to non-league.

What a thoroughly enjoyable game that was. Reminiscent of Scarborough in 98.
Six absolute quality goals - and five of them for us.
We lined up three at the back with Johnson and Wearne as wing backs.
I have been really impressed with Wearne recently - a really tidy player. He looked good at wing back against Aldershot and Weymouth, but I was concerned that County would be far more of a test of his defensive abilities.
But they did not threaten much at all in the first half. Two cracking goals and we fully deserved to get to the break two up.
For the second half, County changed shape to four at the back and sub Nemane really started to get at the left side of our defence as County got on the front foot.
Wearne had lengthy treatment in the first half (calf muscle problem??) and when he went down again he was unable to continue. Looked like Martin would be a straight replacement but instead we changed to match County up with Wynter and Martin at full back, Johnson redeployed to centre midfield alongside Lapslie, Duke-McKenna right and Lemon left in a 4-2-3-1.
The change did not stop County's dominance, nor did the introduction of Hall for Johnson (who had just wasted possession on a couple of occasions). As County made it 2-1, you felt they were on track to rescue a point at least.
But no. We hit them ruthlessly on the break - not one, not twice but three times.
So often we have played lovely intricate football but hesitated near goal and failed to turn possession into goals and points. Not yesterday!
Lemon understandably man of the match, but I commented before Little's second goal that he was not far behind. In fact every player did himself proud. Good to see Little and Lemon complement each other's skills rather than get in each other's way. They were both a joy to behold yesterday.
Atmosphere was electric with Plainmoor rocking. Crowd behind the team even when we looked in trouble. Only small gripe was some silly stuff about Kyle Cameron. Kyle's a young man who travelled the length of the country to try to make it with us, grafted hard for three years to better himself and survived lockdown a hell of a way from home. With a different ref, he could have been the man who took us back to The Football League. We actually WANT players to work hard with us and go on to better themselves. Good for him and he deserves his increased earning power. He deserves our respect and our thanks, not ridiculous personal abuse.
