Phew. That was hard work. Don’t know how we managed to hang on. Would have damaged confidence if we hadn’t.

They score at last. Seemed inevitable. Can we hang on? Yes! (Just)

Should have put some money on my 2-1 forecast Its a start we must build on and should give the squad the lift they needed but we would have dropped into the relegation zone if we had lost today and the confidence levels would have dropped even further. The top six or seven in the division are streets ahead of the rest just as forecast - resources and finances count 100% no argumant. The remainder will just have to fight it out each week for the booby prizes. Its time we all adjust our expectations a little. The priority already is to pull away from the drop zone and keep away, nothing else.

The top six or seven in the division are streets ahead of the rest Not sure about that. The top four are the ones you would expect and already would be very surprised if any of Wrexham, Notts County, Chesterfield or Solihull missed out on the playoffs at least. Beyond that, one or two others may do well - not sure who yet - but I don’t think the side finishing seventh will be any great shakes. Not that I am saying that will be us. Fifth to eighth at the moment Boreham Wood, Barnet, Wealdstone, Bromley. Hardly invincibles.

So, a win that not even a God could have predicted…unless that God was called petef of course. Setefano…not quite a Godly prediction.
Still, a win is a win, unexpected or not, hopefully it will instil confidence and all the other stuff that goes with it. 🙏

Yes, I had noticed that when Setefano predicts a heavy loss we seem to win!
So may I suggest that a couple of you living in Torquay, go round to Setefano’s gaff, put him up against the wall, and instil that information into him! 🥊

A deliberate strategy Poo and seems to work. I think it may be some sort of witchcraft!
Best of luck to anybody trying to find me in Torquay. I don't live anywhere near there. There is a small window of opportunity though as I will be there in two weeks time and staying at a luxurious hotel and hopefully seeing some chap called Don McLean in concert. I say hopefully as he will be 77 in October and we cannot take anything for granted!
There really should be no need though as my awareness of a connection between a heavy defeat forecast and a win for Torquay has been obvious.
Spoiler Alert: 0-5 home to Aldershot. I couldn't go heavier than that as Aldershot are shit! 😉⚽️

Highlights. Outstanding goalkeeping and defending. Lovett produced some great saves and saved our bacon....maybe play both keepers next game.
