Woking, my choice as a "wild card" pre season and doing better than most expected. Hope it goes ahead and not postponed at the last minute as was Saturdays game. Must be some doubt with the weather still in a cycle of below freezing with pitches becoming semi permafrost!
A repeat of last seasons result would be more than welcome but this will be a tough encounter as we seek to continue our marginal improvement.
One or two favourable results tonight with losses for Maidstone and Gateshead. The teams above, Oldham and Aldershot, the who we will need to catch both won.
Maidenhead and Dorking appear to be the most catchable but we desperately need a run of wins to get near them.
Whatever, I guess we will continue to clutch at straws until the maths become impossible.

I have often wondered what it would be like to be the holder of a certain achievement: like Harold Abrahams in France: like Sherpa Tenzing in Nepal/Tibet: like Neal Armstrong stepping on the moon: like Roald Amundsen, the first person to reach The South and The North Pole: like Cai Lun in China, first person to make a paper making process: like Babe Ruth, hitting 50 home runs in a season: like Queen Mary I, the first reigning Queen…I think that is all of them? 🤔 I feel though, that I have surpassed even the greatness of those above…’what have you done, please tell us’ I hear you all say in one voice. Well I will tell you. I used the word ‘Curry’ in my previous post, and the longest previous response time to the usage of that word has been 17 seconds! So now you can understand my feeling of euphoria…I now hold a record that will never be broken. 🐮 |

First chance to sample the delights of the new National League streaming service.
Let’s hope it is the chance to see us pull off a shock win.
Woking doing brilliantly this season. Seems to be through having a well-balanced, well-organised team rather than having vastly superior individual players.
If only we could get the best out of what we have. I don’t think you really have to be that good to be mid-table in this league.
I would play the 4-4-2 lineup I put in the Maidstone thread.
Both Donnellan and Moxey would be better in the centre, but they are far far better than anything else we have at full back.
Let’s hope that Lapslie and Hall are both fit if we want to compete in midfield. Doubt if both can do 90 minutes on Tuesday and Friday so may need Hanson to step up to the plate - what a disappointment he has been. Donnellan could do a job in there, but not if it means playing Crowe at right back!
Would be good to have a striker on the bench but Crole looked out if his depth when he came on against Taunton, so not worth jumping him ahead of Aguiar. If Evans is on bench, he could be the fresh legs to replace Fadahunsi late on.

Hall not fit. No Aguiar or Crole!
Hanson comes in, with McGavin on the bench.
Probably a 3-5-2, but could be a 4-4-2 with Wyatt left back and Evans in front of him.

Quite like no commentary!
Good picture, decent camera work, action replays (not over-used) and a highlights package at the end of the half.
Woking nothing special. When you see where they are in the league, it is all the more frustrating that we are where we are.
De Silva clearly is not a wing back. No use defensively at all - no difference to Crowe on that score!
