He even went as far as to say what were the administrators thinking by not selecting the Bryn consortium as the preferred bidder in the first place? The answer to that question is very simple; they were are not acting in the best interest of the club and fans, but in the best interest of the creditors. Absolutely 100% hit the nail on the head. I do sometimes wonder what some journalists are thinking when they write certain things that don't match up with the facts. Of course, Richard may well know what the administrator's priorities are but has chosen to make it sound more positive for the Bryn Consortium. Ultimately it doesn't matter: we have our club back with new owners who respect the fans and what we bring to the team. How we got here is something that I am very grateful I didn't have any involvement in as I don't think I would have dealt well with the stress and lack of sleep!  |

Now that I have had time to reflect on the takeover, incredibly grateful to all those on Bryn that have stepped up to invest the time and resources to save the club from what has been its lowest ebb. Lots of expressions of interest but when it came down to it, only those who had the club’s interests at heart were able to come in and do what was necessary. Touch and go at times though and it has been both an epic and difficult journey to get out of administration. Still not out of the woods completely yet, hopefully the fanbase can come together as we work towards a fully sustainable and community oriented club. In the meantime, looking forward to seeing how we build the squad up for a new season in the national league which was very much in doubt before.  |

Another interview with Michael Westcott this morning on radio Devon, roundabout 7:12. Good listen and one of the snippets is that season tickets will be released on around June 14 so end of next week.

link - meet Bryn in the flesh! When you look at the depth and experience of this board you can only think wow! We haven’t had anything like this since the Boyce/Bristow board was first formed, but this takes it to another level I think. Even got a club secretary now and he is ok…. The underlying theme is that these are all long-term and very much committed fans that want the very best for the club and think we will see a massive collective effort to improve the club both on and off the pitch as they are intrinsically linked. |

A long and comprehensive interview with our Co- Chairman and to be honest, it’s fantastic to hear them speak with their vision and plans for the club, which is just a breath of fresh air after the last few years. With their transparency, an awful lot to take in, but some of the main topics were of the 13 players signed so far, 11 are full-time, we will be using South Devon College and Buckland athletic to train on, there is more about the community share issue with TUST, something that the TUST board are working hard on and looks like 3 more new signings will be announced on Friday night at the Princess Theatre! How refreshing . Genuine fans and switched on businessmen who really do care about the club and its fans. Excited and hugely encouraged for the future but so important the Torbay and surrounding area public really get behind this regime and have the patience for the short and long term. |

link - Joe Lovell appointed as CEO on a permanent basis on his 35th birthday. Played a big part in the Bryn bid and seems to be doing a very good job in getting the club reorganized.

link - the club agree a new long-term partnership with South Devon College giving the club access to sports science, nutrition, gym, and analysis facilities together with use of 3G pitch for training. Youth development is also high on the agenda which this partnership will nurture. Good to see Tracey and Danni in the picture from the women’s team showing they are an important part of the club.
