Don’t encourage him 😀 There I was yesterday afternoon talking to one of 'my' Popside season ticket holders and his daughter. The conversation went something like this: Me: "Are you keeping up with the news from Plainmoor?" Popsider:"Yes!" Me: "We're out of administration and Jon Gibbes is Club Secretary" Jon (walking up behind me): "Yes, and here he is" The conversation then deteriorated as we dropped into 'mutual admiration society' mode. I expect that he's come down to ground this morning as the Club website has an error message on the Club Directory and Contacts page and I presume that he is busily writing a new one. He'll also have to update the Club history page as that stops at the Taunton game! P.s. Jon reckons that he will still be a Popsider next season! |

In my excitement I set up the header as Company Secretary but I've just bumped into Jon (at Sainsbury's of all places) and he has confirmed that his job will be Club Secretary which has its own job description. He is upbeat! (Jon I'm sure that you can amend the header when you get home from shopping- I don't know where you get the time for such things!) Typical, one day into the job and he's already swanning around Sainsbury's like he owns the place, no doubt filling his basket with the 'Taste the Difference' range! ... seriously though, I couldn't think of anyone better to provide a safe pair of hands steering the good ship Plainmoor... well done Jon! |

link - he has now made the Torbay weekly which talks about a baptism of fire during his first week in the job with a massive flurry of signing to deal with.
