The power of emails and a club that listens!! I emailed the club this morning as I was concerned that having been one of the 2500 loyal supporters this year that I might miss out on a ticket for the final game. Well, a little while later I see that there are vouchers for Saturday. Brilliant. just need the results to go our way and the lst game will be full to the rafters. TUFC01 need a spare voucher??? usual arrangement?

...is it now a 2 horse race for the title? Camb Utd lose at Stevenage Histon draw at Wrexham Kiddie draw at FGR Oxford draw at York ....play offs not quite safe yet with Stevenage winning, apart from that a bloody good night for us

Not quite. It's still very much a 4 horse race. Cambridge can capitalise on any points we drop. Histon can go above us on goal difference with their game in hand. Kiddy have now slipped of our tails for the time being, but if we want Burton catching we need them to win without their striker who has now got a 3 game ban.
This title is ever changing almost every other day and the one constant is in getting closer to Burton and a win for Histon on Sat will leave it even tighter between the four of us.

Quite simple.... win all our next 4 games whilst Burton lose one of their next 3, with Histon not getting maximum points from all their games...and we play Burton for the title on the last day...

Can't make it to the game on Saturday but the voucher system is a good idea IMHO - hopefully that will boost the gate a bit on Saturday. Can't wait for the game at Salisbury on Monday.
It's a good, nay - GREAT set of results tonight - the football Gods smile upon us again, but it could just as easily be dispondancy come 5pm on Saturday!! It would only be TUFC if we did anything the "ultra hard way" - we'll probably draw as we did against Kiddy in 03/04 when we seemed odds-on to stuff them! Lots of twists and turns before the end of the season but to know that this is in our hands and the way we are playing some great football is so encouraging. Last season I felt that the season was slipping away at this stage - we were 5 points "better off" after 41 games but 15 points behind Aldershot and they had a game in hand. Someone mentioned the stats and the charts and tables on another thread - but the key thing is not quantative data - it is the quality of the play and other factors that are not measured by results and points alone - the mentality of the squad is just that little bit more experienced, a lot deeper and looking more positive.

Current odds on Torquay to win the league 2nd favs at 8/1!
Is it worth a punt?
The bookies are usually right but I think that could be a fun small bet!
P.S Merse you backed us earlier in the season and told us all to do the same was it 20/1?

Considering some of the decisions we have had to endure in that match, this week has really put the draw against Forest Green into context! Would say that we are now definitely the number 1 challengers for the title both in position and on current form. Just got to keep that consistently and intensity going. Have gone from dreaming about the title to smelling it and hoping to see it as we round the corner of next week.

...If Histon do manage to repeat our feat of winning at Burton this saturday, then they will be in a great position themselves to push for the title.
They will then have 5 games left, with the next 4 on the trot at home (Rushden, Ebbsfleet, Kiddy and Weymouth juniors) before they go to crawley on the last day.

P.S Merse you backed us earlier in the season and told us all to do the same was it 20/1? STILL good value at 8/1? You bet! I took 25/1 immediately after seeing us win at Cambridge and Capitalgull got 33/1 before that highly informative performance.

Makes the Weymouth Shenanigans even more annoying I posted a couple of times on the Terrastalk forum in response to some pretty unnecessary and untrue tripe aimed at Paul Buckle on there pointing out that whilst congratulating themselves on "being saved" they should consider what a farce they had made the BSP this season through their unprofessionalism and chicanery over the "refusal to travel" and fielding non competitive teams. I suggested that in the probable event of their relegation, they should be deemed to have no points at all and ALL their fixtures declared null and void for this season in the interests of a level playing field. The abusive response from some was predictable, but what took the biscuit was that wittering Doris who posts as "Westbaygull" ~ Jane on another site chipping in with an ingratiating and typically inane comment that my views were not representative of OUR fans as a whole. Kitchen sink experts eh? No wonder her old man appears to have pissed off through the season! ;D

Thanks for the offer Stuart, much appreciated, however the eldest is back from uni for Easter so we can all make the game on Saturday. In fact it is the Burton game she is going to struggle to get to as she has an exam the following day.
