I would love to see a couple of those Chelsea lads playing for us this season, but I would say it's about as long a longshot as Merse's mate Mark Cavendish winning the Tour de France in the next 10 years. Most of those kids would be worth millions in this day and age, and loaning them out to a BSP side is akin to saying they are never going to make it as a top flight professional. Well unlike anyone in the TdeF, I can justifiably claim that I managed to stay ahead of Cavendish throughout our sojourn the other week. Well Mickey Somers, John Dunn, Allan Young and Tony Bedeau all came to us having "failed to make it" at Chelsea and we didn't do badly out of them did we!

I said top flight Merse, and you highlighted it! I don't consider Torquay, as much as I love them, to be top flight at the moment....
If any of those players make it to the Chelsea first-team I will be surprised, and as much as I liked the No 7 who scored the free-kick and nearly added a second, he's too small/light to make it in the current Premiership - he was only an inch or so taller than our Danny!

I echo Capitalgulls comments about Green, looked good against much weaker opposition at Newton but far from convincing in the other 2 games i have seen. Didn't look interested yesterday! At the moment I am leaning towards Benyon and Sills starting against Histon.
Hargreaves certainly seems to be growing into the role of centre half, looks more at home as each game passes.
Thompson wasn't sat in front of the back four though, he was man marking their number 10 (and 18 when he replaced him for the last 10 minutes or so), followed him all over the park and did quite a good job of keeping him quiet after he had been running the show.

Benyon also looked very good against Newton Abbot, but I still believe Green will deliver. Benyon, as has been stated, is just to lightweight and will get brushed a side far to easily.
