That's photo is a bit like Pacino and De Niro meeting in their one and only shared scene!!
"The Cup run has been great to reduce the running losses, but we are still a long way short of breaking even this season." Agree fully with Jon's above observation. Consider that we have lost a total of 1000 per home league gate this season it is clearly very likely that we have had a huge drop in income. I'm not sure that difference there has been in "parachute payment" from the football league but that must be a consideration. We've also invested heavily in corporate facilities and the youth set-up (both essential IMHO). While the cup-run has helped our financial position, I would still think that things are very tight at the moment.

The sums of money involved in running a football club "properly" are mind-boggling - but we shouldn't get too downbeat about it. The good news is that the Board was ready, willing and able to commit to continuing the current level of expense before the Cup run and the Ward money came into the equation. Barring disasters from now on in, I would be quite confident that we will be able to continue on the current lines for next season - even if we fail to get out of the BSP.

My hair is the colour nature makes it and there is a little bit of grey in there.....................no bloody wonder arguing the toss with you on a weekly basis! As for "size of head", I doubt the space between bone and brain is any greater in my bonce than yours Dave.

That mysterious minutes silenced that went unannounced at Plainmoor on Saturday was for former Conference Chairman and President J.C. "Jim" Thompson a former chair also of the Premier Alliance the very first non league national league. As he was also the Chairman of the time of Maidstone United when they sold their London Road Ground at the time without securing another site in the town and thus taking a tenancy at Dartford FC from where they achieved their short lived Football League status and subsequently went bust taking Dartford FC with them; perhaps the silence should have been for all the broken dreams and aspirations that he ruined and the fact that to this day, Maidstone United have yet to return to their home town........................."blazers"
