I`d like to know what teams sheets are going to be first! Who side is Joe Kawasaki is going to be on, how many other celebrities are playing and for who? Will it be Gargoyle youth or first team? ect.

Is everyone happy to fly into this blind or do people bother with things like who is actually going to start a game, I prefer to know team selection and formation of both sides before trying to work out which one will dominate play, weather conditions can play a big part in my descision making also, pitch condition ,suspentions and injury, if a player is coming back from injury. I need INFORMATION to help me make my mind up, never go to the bookies with me I take bloody ages!

Sorry aussie, you have to go into this blind, if you want to you cld copy and paste the fixtures for your reply and predict on them one at a time on the relevant day by editing your post, does that help? Lou

Is everyone happy to fly into this blind or do people bother with things like who is actually going to start a game, I prefer to know team selection and formation of both sides before trying to work out which one will dominate play, weather conditions can play a big part in my decision making also, pitch condition ,suspentions and injury, if a player is coming back from injury. I need INFORMATION to help me make my mind up, never go to the bookies with me I take bloody ages! Aussie its great to see you are so keen and want to give yourself the best chance, but you will not be able to have all the information you want, before you make your predictions. I also feel you are not 100% sure how it all works, so I will outline everything and also give my views on what Lou has said. At least five days before Lou will put up a list of second division games for you to predict the final scores of each game, one of those games will probably be a TUFC game. Your completed prediction entry must be posted before the games kick off, IE 3pm, if you post them up before that time, say one hour before or even one day before, you can if you wish edit your entry, but it must be done and completed before the kick-off times. Lou will then post up the results when she has had time to do them, if TUFC are playing at home, you will have to do your predictions before you leave for the game, so you will never know who has been picked to play. You would also never know who has been picked to play in all the other games you will have to predict on. As the season moves on you will be able to look who the form teams are to help you in your predictions, the rest will be down to your own judgment and guesswork. As regards the pre season friendlies As I have already said before this season only and due to all the changes we have made we will start afresh, that means unlike what will happen next season those who played last season will not start automatically in the division they finished the season in. Our problem is that Brett never removed from the tables those who had stopped playing during the season, If you take kipper as an ex sample, he was storming the league early on. He decided to stop participating and slowly slipped down the division one table. Only when he dropped into division two, did Brett move the person at the top of division two into division one. Therefore at the end of the season we ended up with division one full of all those who had played all season. Division two had some who had played all season and some who had dropped out during the season. Our problem was with so many new players how were we going to be able decide what new ones should be in division two. The only fair way was to say we will start again from fresh this season, if any do drop out Lou will remove them from the tables so this won't happen again next season, you will start that season in the division you end up at the end of this one. I was in division one and could well start this season in division three, but due to the changes we have made, I will have plenty of chances to get back into division one. I do think all the pre season predictions should be made before the first one is played, that way its more fair for everyone and I will await Lou's views on this. One further thing, when we start the season proper can I ask that only predictions are posted on the threads Lou puts up with the games you need to predict on, you can freely post views and banter on the results threads that she will put up, but it will be better for her to see the entries if that is all that is posted on the entry thread. Many thanks Dave R

Hi Dave and Lou, just pondering a point on your marvellous sounding prediction league and wondered if you could give me a little shove in the grey matter area. Am I right in thinking that all of the participants predictions will be on display for all to see? If so would this not, at a later stage of the competion, give an unfair advantage to those leading where they would only need to imitate their closest rivals predictions to ensure they stay ahead? Or am I being too suspicious, untrusting and devious minded for my own good....?

wigstongull68, there is only two ways to do it, one as it is now putting your predictions on the thread, or two by Pm message.
While I can assure you that if it was done by PM, everything would be done in an honest and proper way by Lou, its far better all can see the entries should they want to make sure lou did not make a mistake and give one person the wrong points, plus all can see the predicitions were done before the games kicked off.
Yes some could copy the entries of the player at the top of the table, but I'm sure that would not happen, as to do so the person would only be cheating themselves.
We also look at all the entries and we would spot if a player was copying another players entry and we would then have a Polite word by PM

I do plan to have several weeks matches up on the board in advance so this should not happen you should be able to predict before you go away as being in League 2 and not the Conference matches should not be messed around!!

Hi Guys Really looking forward to commencing battle!!! However getting concerned that Wigstongull has far too much time on his hands and will defo be a frontrunner.....lets all hope he gets a job (or a life)---rather than checking all the entries!!! As for Aussie wanting to know what Tarzan has for breakfast, the Notts County formation and the weather forecast in Morecombe before predicting!!! Obviously you guys can always study form or history for these scores or do as I do.......eeny meeny miny mo............ ;D Good luck all
