Would love you to run it Andy, have a chat with all the others and then give me the word and I'll create it and get it up and running, if possible I would like the capitalgulls badge to put on the front of the board like I have done to all the other ones. Dave I don't know whether any of the CGs on here has anything to help Dave out with - otherwise I could maybe bring one along next week off one of the magazines I have here...if you have a scanner.

Thanks for that Chris - I am so camera shy it's not funny. The only problem now is heading off for some kip with visions of Romford Kev

Talking of the capitalgulls, I'm sure I read on here they are looking to get back together and more involved etc, the TFF would be more than happy to provide the capitalgulls with their very own board to use on the forum, it would only need to have one moderator to have the powers to run it, maybe Merse is the man Depends on who you reckon "they" are and just what they mean by "getting back together" Dave. Capital Gulls was formed following an idea put forward by Peter Hicks in Bambers Right Foot who also (incidentally) was the guy who instigated the very first Torquay United dedicated website way back when in cyber history now. The idea was taken up by Andy Charles and myself joining him for a meeting and we decided to go ahead and do a leaflet shoot amongst the Yellow Army at Gillingham's ground on the day that we mullered Brighton there 4-1 during that glorious Roberts/Jack inspired great run of victories.....................and so an idea was born. The very latest person to join this forum as I post is "Bloggy" ~ Simon Blogg who was instrumental in producing the initial newsletters that evolved into the (although I say it myself) excellent Capital Gulls magazine that we brought out monthly. Bloggy now lives back in Devon and who remembers one member a certain Mr Simon Baker? Now whatever happened to him then? We formed a Sunday football team (if you wanted to see YOUR team Torquay United take on and thrash those giants of the game like Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland and Argyle, then following the CGFC lads was the way to do it! ) we organised travel and we enjoyed our monthly pub meetings as well as sponsoring a few home games. ran our own Player of the Season award, belonged to the APSKIL (London Supporters of Provincial Football Clubs) quiz league and belonged to a variety of like minded forums embracing exiled fans of other clubs. We even organised a couple of continental (mainly) football watching trips with a little bit of debauchery thrown in. But as many of these things do, there were many users but only a few "doers", and like BRF, the CG mag first had to be wound up and gradually but inexorably other enterprises bit the dust due to the lethargy and indolence of the majority. My life has changed dramatically from the days when the CGs were "formed" ~ indeed it changed pretty dramatically throughout the period of it's formal existence; and I for one have to work a ten to twelve hour day, run my son to his football four times a week and have two other little ones to put time to. I know Andy Charles and Paul Butler who were very active and judicious organisors just don't have the time for such indulgences now ~ whilst Pete Hicks has always lived up to his acronym of "Where's Pete? " As usual those calling the loudest for a "reformation" are the ones who are least prepared to get their sleeves rolled up and bloody well DO SOMETHING We had myself organise over seventy five group tickets for last year's Wembley Final and TB1 "organises" (well that's a rather loose term eh Al?) the annual CHAOS Cup shindig entries, so how about those who would actually take part in any monthly pub meet (it won't be me, indeed it can't be me with my working and waking schedule) and those most able to afford still to travel regularly actually getting off their arses and volunteering to be the chosen ones for once? Chas volunteering to moderate on this forum for us is a great idea, but also there must be a whole new generation of younger and more recently landed Gulls in the footsteps of Dick Whittington up here these days who should be making themselves known and getting involved.......................over to you "fledgling Gulls"!

I've had to redo one of the pics in my earlier selection due to a slight 'over cropping' for which I can only apologise to the victim!

He is! We all are! The Club is brilliant! You cant get this sort of feeling and support from any old football club! Lewis loves TUFC. What a day he and all of us had; and hopefully what a great future from now onwards! Lets hope they stay up this time and who knows, they might even emulate Exeter City this time next year.

Kev
Great photos.
Re the double scarf which I swore I`d never buy as I didn`t want another team around my neck. Think you paid £8. They were going for £5 after the game and in the mad post match euphoria I haggled & got one for £4, stuffed it in the bag and it will probably never see the light of day again just like the programme with tickets saved inside.
Thanks for the company, enjoyed our brief meeting on the tube with Sallie & Bruce
