Paul says there's no truth in the rumour that he was travelling to a pre-season friendly between Tiverton and Torquay when the sight of the River Exe in flood at Bickleigh inspired him to write Bridge Over Troubled Water.Tiverton aside, there is a legend it was Bickleigh which provided the inspiration... |
