Well two weeks after our very first TFF programme pages in the Barnet programme, Ken Heard who had read our pages and the piece from the history room, joined the forum, as he played for our A team when the lights were first put in. Now having a look at the piece Budleighgull took from the history room for the Bournemouth pages, I'm half expecting to see Bett Lynch joining any day soon ;D Another great job done by our Budleighgull and don't forget he has already starting looking for content for the next home programme, so keep those posts coming folks.

All a bit fluffy and hippy for me. Let's all form a circle and sing the fluffy song and ignore any controversy.

Do you think the club would want to put in its own publication the sort of posts you make, like " Buckle has no balls" you should remember the programmes get sold to fans of other clubs and not just our own fans. I have just had correspondence from the club saying how pleased they are with what they call a rather unique addition to their matchday programme. I think its great and I was pleased to see fans waiting for the family stand to open having their programme open on our pages and reading them.

Well Dave no i wouldn't. But what's wrong with a bit of balance? We're not all living in a PC world where criticism is viewed as negative. Maybe it might be viewed as mainstream and constructive.

I think I've got the balance about right thanks Dave. Why don't you sit here on a sunday evening until two in the morning and go through all the threads and try and and get 1,500 words that sit right and meld together? All the match report parts are from the members on here, nothing added except for a little editing of the grammer or spelling, and I try and balance a bit from each game by using differing views but all of different aspects of each, for instance one post will be from pre-match, then someone else's comments from the game itself, another on how the goals went in, or didn't, and then another view post-match when all has settled down.... all without being repetitive. If you read the notes on the Barnet game that I used, there were certainly views expressed that weren't 'cosy'.
I then wanted to feature on the notes some of the humour we are so lucky to have on this site as well as the wonderful historical facts that surface and hence the 'and finally' portion.
What I am NOT going to start editing into the pages are off-the-cuff rantings or unwarranted negativity as it is supposed to be a light-hearted feature that aims to give a slightly 'eccentric' and quirky view.

Leigh you do an excellent job and its a first class feature and great addition to the matchday programmes. As you said it is only meant to be light hearted and entertaining and not used to throw poison at the club we support.
It is no surprise that this thread put up so all our members can see our pages in the programme, gets the reply it did from Dave Shaw.
The TFF is very proud and pleased to be able to have what is a first for any TUFC forum and as you don't seem to like our efforts Dave, then you won't need to view the thread I put up for our next home matchday page feature, that way the members can read and enjoy it without having your negative comment's on it.

May I suggest a ironic "Bring me sunshine" section in the next TFF supplement? It would give the miserable pint glass half-empty bloke in Thailand a platform. Have they run out of ladyboys?

Perhaps the Bitter Little Man from Bang Cock should offer to edit and produce a "Poison Pen Letters" feature in the match programme, I'm sure they could colour it "Yellow" and also attract that nutter "Bruce" aboard as well as some of the other assorted fruit loops that cannot wait to jump on the manager's back whenever the opportunity arises. Just think what a winner it would be, my they would already have predicted such momentous events that never happened such as the resignation of the Chief Executive, the departure of Nicky Wroe for Exeter, the arrival of Stuart Fleetwood and the manager going off to Colchester. To compliment it, we could also have a so called grown man in his forties boasting about how he "started that chant" amongst the kids and a feature making derogatory attacks on anybody who happens to make their living in a way that doesn't meet the criteria of the writer. As one who has both compiled, designed and edited match magazines; and written and provided features for them and other periodicals and publications; I can truly say Leigh has done a great job in providing a feature that fits ideally into the readership requirements for such a production......................and well done to Darryl too for the fresh approach and new ideas he has brought to the match day programme. It's value for money, it's good and it presents a nice balance of contribution from the professional management, the boardroom and the supporters.......................oh, and it's bloody well designed!

This is a massive step-forward in the match-day experience for me. I stopped buying the programme years ago after more regular trips to away matches and I realised just how poor our then programme was. This new programme is absolutely light years ahead of any programme I have seen at Plainmoor. The articles are well written and interesting and cover a variety of TUFC related themes and issues.
Again - a massive "well done" and a "big thanks" to Budleighgull who has clearly has a big task to reduce-down a lot of insightful and quality posts to give a little snapshot of the cross-section of views. This feature takes me back to the days of the magnificent Bambers Right Foot and I'm looking forward to the next edition.

BTW Chris, ladyboys don't run, they flounce! They get nowhere fast cos they can't pass a reflective surface without checking out their makeup. They really are quite amusing creatures ;D
Budleigh, my apologies mate. On reflection my comments are harsh and unfair.
