Merse, how could you ever think, I have been trying to get you into a spectacular slanging match, shame on you for even thinking that. No, like Jon said it was more a case of an enjoyable heated debate, sure we will have plenty more

Jon, your figures are very interesting, I for one would hope that the club can average 3000 gates, so as not to need to use the safely net.
I think this seasons gates more than any before it, will so much depend of results, plus entertainment value. Money will be tight for some and I think we have all at times, come away from Plainmoor, thinking we wasted our money.
So a good start is needed and will have to be maintained, to keep the clubs hope of getting its break even gates, that it has planed for.

1 Rosenior didn't inherit a team firing on all cylinders. It lacked end product. It came 3rd from bottom, albeit with a late rally.
2 Some signings were crucial in the rebuild season and automatic promotion season. McGlinchey, Taylor, Kuffour, Van Heusden. Liam Rosenior during that final push!.
3 Certain previously overlooked players had a major part in that promotion. Hockley, Bedeau.
4 One later signing referred to was when our top scorer had been sold on promotion. Akinfenwa.
4 Many of those signings were mentioned in a modified post.
5 They were not MacFarland signings. He made one very good signing.
6 Graham wasn't claimed to be a Rosenior signing.
Thread topic - I would've preferred Johnson - pace and left foot - to come in for Woods to be loaned out.

Rob: Your post on this thread is incoherent and rambling. As you refer to me in it, could I please ask you to make the effort to re-write it so that we know what the hell you are on about? I may be wrong here (because it is so hard to understand) but you appear to be under the impression that Leroy Rosenior signed David Graham on a free transfer. In fact it was Colin Lee who signed him and after he had become a free agent, Mike Bateson then "re-signed" him before appointing Roy MacFarland. Rosenior was the manager when Graham was sold to Wigan.

Hi Rob thanks for making your post, it is just a little hard to work out your points, so I hope you can make them a little clearer, as you views are important to the forum.
Many thanks Dave

Thanks Rob even that Merse will now understand your points ;D I think Leroy deserved a lot of praise in his promotional season. Never before have I seem the scenes at the end of each game that season. As the man walked over to the Pop side at the end of a game, fans would line the fence, arms outstretched and bow to Leroy. So at least in that season, fans showed how good they thought he was. ps.... threads do go of topic, we do not lock them if they do, just let them die their own death
