Yeah and there`s some on here that believe that the recession didn`t effect the transfer window! Edit>> Oh it`s all Paul Buckles fault, he must have single handedly been responsible for the banks leading us into recession, lets see what else we can blame him for, Hmm maybe he`s responsible for broken Britton and single parents and oh yeah I forgot the earth quake in Haiti!

for sure chester wont be the last casualty, many clubs are creeking at the moment, and some on the verge of extinction, bad housekeeping has been the main problem for most.As soon as you have got 2 quid coming in and 2pound 10p going out your in trouble, basic finance really

Bit of a bummer for me this... I've got to go up to Liverpool for the weekend to see the out-laws (and miss my first United home game of the season!) I was being allowed out on Sunday lunchtime as a 'reward' and was going to pop down and watch Chester's local derby against Wrexham, once voted a 'must-see' match by 4-4-2 magazine. Have a horrible feeling it may not go ahead (i'll have to pretend it did so I can still sneak away!)

there is no doubt about it,chester look extremely unlikely to survive,a shame that, had a great cup run in the 70s nearly made wembley.Nothing seems to have gone right for them since leaving sealand road.I am pretty sure a pheonix will emerge from the ashes, lets hope so anyway.Sundays game against wrexham going ahead, who knows, there fans must be gutted, but recent rumbles about the running of chester as a club would be no surprise to their fans that time is running out

I only went to the Deva Stadium once and it was to watch Simon Rayner's debut and then Matt Hockley win a dubious penalty late in the game to earn us a draw we scarcely deserved. It was quite funny to watch a game of football in Wales whilst the car was parked yards away in England. But it's a souless little ground.

Game on sunday is in serious doubt because of police costs, question is who's going to pay for those costs.

Reprieved... I can get to Bolton v Spurs in the Cup on Sunday!! Phew... (Actually Father-in-Law might escape with me for that one)
Today, though, can't make up my mind.
Man City v Stoke this evening, or Stockport v Colchester; Oldham v Walsall; FC Utd of Manchester v Worksop; or even Hyde v Eastwood. Might do the latter I think... I was going to try & do one of these and then go the short distance to the Man City game after but think I'm pushing my luck (not with the short distance between any of these but with the family!!)

If I was going to go to any of them firstly I`d think who would I rather my money went too, that would deffo have to be F.C of Manc v Worksop for obvious reasons then try too get to the evening game. I certainly wouldn`t let Stockport have a penny of my money because I still remember when they came down here and absolutely slated the place, how Stockport can slag Torbay off when their place is a sh*t hole I don`t know but anyway sod them! Oldham v Walsall would be interesting but I`d lean towards the minows because I think they need it more, saying that Hyde v Eastwood I feel would be almost like paying to watch park football, F.C of Manc should have a descent crowd thus atmosphere and not to bad a level football so a Manc double for today would be on my menu, any way what ever you do have a good one Leigh and don`t forget to let us know where you went and how it went!
