Lloyd Macklin from Swindon has joined on a month's loan and I predict he will be our super sub! Well, only 18 but apparently very fast he had just broken into the first team (1 start and about 9 sub appareances) when he fractured his leg. At least it is another option and tonight we will need it. On the BBC website Buckle has said "We've got a young side and with that comes a little bit of naiveity but that's something we have to suffer. Yes, so why did he get rid of all the experience? Playing this tonight is a bonus in my eyes. If we pull off a shock Grimsby are going to be under a whole heap of pressure to get a result tomorrow. Plus it gives us an extra day to recover before the more important Cheltenham game.

I gave up on making it to Sheffield. Getting from St Pancras to Highgate took almost an hour and the M1 was gridlocked from the M25 junction until I waved the white flag and turned back home at Junction 9. I do love a game up north but there's also a time to be sensible. Come on the boys!

Hope it doesnt work out that way our luck has to change soon though with so many new faces in the side a positive result seems unlikely.

Thomson as much as admire his technical abilities he has a questionable attitude, something we dont need at a time like this. I would sooner give Ellis a game you know he would be totaly commited. |

Either Smith is unfit or the manager has gone for height, strength and physique right accross the back. Definitely gone for unbridled pace on the flanks though!
