Bench a little light today - no keeper, 3 seasoned pros and 3 youth.

Seems odd that the youth 'keeper isn't on the bench, unless he's injured?

Fantastic result once again....this has been a fantastic run of results. Great to see the goals going in BUT more improtantly the defence being so strong. nb---just seeing Sky Sports --Grimsby fans on the pitch--very unusual for them

Very good result, even if we are running out of players! Now up to 16th, which by my calculations is in the middle third of the table.

Emergency loan like Cambridge last year perhaps? .....................and if it's not the released Cambridge keeper Danny Potter, I think you'll find we already have one lined up from Tottenham Hotspur.

One more incredible result and performance. Just a few short weeks a go I couldn't wait for the season to finish, now I wish that we were just begining. This has been an exceptional turn around of form and fortunes and with our old but recent all time clean sheet record once again in real danger, just a few more minutes next week an the record will be broken again. Buckle must be a realy proud manager the way his young squad has "got going" when the going got tough and with a goal average of plus nine, better than most of the play off contenders you just wonder what might have been if we could have put a run like this together earlier on.

The one and only KEVIN HILL will be performing in goal at Plainmoor next week at half time, the finalists of the Junior Gulls Sponsored Penalty Shoot Out Comp are going to be trying to put their 'spot kicks' past him!!!!

What another fine result - no surprise given the last few weeks. I certainly wouldn't have envied Bury trying to get their play-off spot against a team in form like ours. I'm looking forward to our Northern-based fans to post their reports. I will quote their official website's report: "Despite starting to play some better stuff in the second half, there was no denying they were steamrolled in the final stages by a team in brilliant form."
Like PeteF I was looking forward to what was a very challengingg season being put to bed, but the recent form has been brilliant and great to watch. It's incredible that the team's fortunes changed for the better so dramatically, hopefully those youngsters that are out of contract (such as Ellis and Carayol) will pen new deals as I think they really do believe in their abilities and "do the right thing". I'm sure that these players will be courted by other clubs and it will be a ringing endorsement of the club if we can get them signed-up asap.
It will be interesting if we face Notty County with young Lee Butcher in goal (if Pokey and Bevan are still injured) next week but I think we'll more than give them a match. It's a great way to test the team after a fantastic run and I will not be at all surprised if we beat them. Hopefully there will be a good 3000+ home supporters to see us do it!
