It could and maybe should have been more than six ! In some reports their keeper has been criticised but I think he helped to keep the score down !

Fantastic! I wanted 4 and we got 5, absolutely delighted! About time we put someone to the sword.
As for the comments from the usual W@nkers. I doubt you would say the same to my face. I am not a Buckle fan but i am a Torquay fan. You on the other hand are simply small minded t@ssers, and i would say the same to your face.

I would definately say the same to your face if you ever appeared on the same continenet!! We have discussed previously how easy it is to NEVER watch a game and criticise (I still dont understand this attitude). My previous postings will show that I cant believe how negative your childish comments are. Fans travel and pay money to follow the Team (which hasnt been easy with performances and in these very strange economical times)-but in true style of SUPPORTERS you do it through thick and thin. Yesterday I would have settled for a 1-nil because in all the top 4 divisions this year every team is capable of beating everybody else. Look at the big picture and progress is being made on and off the field. I would no way criticise something that happens on your doorstep and I am not affected by so I just fail to understand why these comments continue. Anyway thanks for your time and this small minded t@sser is now gonna start planning trips to Macclesfield and Crewe.

I suppose if you had left your prediction at 4 - 0 then you would have gained some respect as opposed to criticism. It seems that Buckle has turned it around for the second season running and most fans, at least for now, are content with our manager. Dave, I actually enjoy your posts in a "Devil's Advocate" kind of way and an alternative viewpoint is good to debate. However, after a glorious 5 - 0 win, we should all be happy as Torquay supporters and there is no need for anyone to indulge in name calling. You could always go and visit Aussie in his therapy room for that. ;D

Haven't had a "w@nk" for so long it was good to get some stimulation on reading your particular offering of "t@ss" from the East this morning DtG, but that and the TV footage of the five goals I have just enjoyed; have left me positively rampant on a gloomy December morning.

Nothing less than a 4-0 thrashing is acceptable. However Buckle has shown his inability to get results so far at home against equally weak opposition so i expect a draw or he'll do a Grimsby. Nearly half the season gone and still uncomfortably close to the drop zone. In total fairness Dave, it should've been six. I'm still stunned (but happy, well as happy as I could be ) that Benyon missed that 'sitter, come it would have been easier to score than miss attempt'. I think it's who joins Darlo for the drop - hopefully I'm not being premature here (please no jokes...........) but feel that Cheltenham have put their name forward. Contemplating over a mug of tea that Bucks has a ruddy good eye for talent (Poke - Thomson - Smith - Zebs and others) that if he had an open cheque book what a team he would assemble. Now I'm not saying that money buys success (or happiness - must check my lotto ticket) but it would be a good 'un. I watched the Man Utd v Villa game last night and our game was the better of the two by a country mile. Shame the folk of the bay can't see that or believe that. I think on yesterdays performance we would have given Sir Alex Ferguson's finest a ruddy good thrashing!

Glad to see you using positive words like fantastic and absolutely delighted DTG. It makes a nice change from all the negative stuff that you like to come out with.
It most definately should have been six yesterday. Can't believe now that Benyon didnt smash the thing when he had the chance. As stated above I would have stated for any win as playing teams in lower part of league as never been our strong point.

I am not a Buckle fan, I am a Torquay fan? Surely thats up there with JFK's "Ich bin ein Berliner"? Well if we can't bring Mohammed to the mountain, lets bring the mountain to Mohammed. Where am I flying to Dave? Bangkok, Phuket or Dumtwaht?

DTG after not posting on the forum for some time, you make two posts and in your second post you sadly had to lower the standards of the TFF by childish name calling and some stupid idea that we would not say to your face what we post on here, we would because we are adults and that is how adults behave.
One thing that I know always upset fans of a forum, is a suggestion that some fans are better fans than others, but I have read all your posts you have made under three different user names and I now really do wonder if you can claim to be a true fan of Torquay United.
Being a fan is all about the highs and lows of your club, dealing with disappointment when the team loses and is not doing well, but then getting every last drop of pleasure out of a victory.
You my friend are just a doom and gloom merchant, sat waiting for the wheels to fall off so you can then come on here and tell us how you told us so, only we did not want to listen.
I have been to every home game this season and will be at all the rest still to be played, some of those games I left the ground disappointed with the result and how we played. But as a fan and supporter I knew I would be at the next home game because that is what a supporter of a football club does.
Three home games ago I left the ground feeling sad and sorry for our team, far the better team on the day against a high riding Rotherham side , yet somehow lost the game.
Two home games ago, I left the ground very happy, after watching a great game where the team played great football and scored three goals as well.
Yesterday I left the ground happy, while not the best I have seen the team play, it was still an enjoyable match and the team treated us to five goals and it could have been ever more.
The people you aim your name calling at Dave, are the people who can post their praise when they know its due, they post their happiness when the team is doing well. They will also give their honest views when the team plays badly, or if they feel Bucks may have got his tactics or substitutions wrong.
They do that because they are fans who look at the whole picture at our club, fans who only want the best for their club and are fans who believe its best for the club and the team to always be as positive as possible.
Last season you were saying Bucks could never get the team back into the league, well he did and he rightly gave the players who got the team promoted, a fair chance to show if they were good enough to play in the higher league.
Some have not been able to make the step up and Bucks as added to the the team with players who can and as a result things have started to turn around.
Instead of making demands of how many goals the team must get against a team in trouble, just be happy we won and are slowing moving away from the drop zone. All true fans only want to see the team finish this season somewhere above the drop zone in its first season back in the league.
Maybe we will see some proper posts form you, ones that reflect your joy when the team under Buckle does well and gets a good result, but then that is something you have never done before is it? just the same old negative rubbish is all you have ever posted on the TFF.

Surely thats up there with JFK's "Ich bin ein Berliner"? Ah but did he mean ein Berliner Weise, ein Berliner Eisbein or Berliner Pfannkuchen? ? 'cos I reckon Mr President was a little peckish and buggered his translation up. ............and if he was after the Vegetarian Vote when he said that Chris he lost it in one fell swoop there ~ just just as well he wasn't in either Hamburg or Frankfurt then!

While I, like many others here, do believe that DTG is talking loads of bollocks about our manager he is entitled to have an opinion.
Some of the comments made in this thread are over the top, no wonder his replies are also out of order.
Come on guys, let the man be who he wants to be on this site. He's probably a lot nicer and more positive when you meet him personally.
Back to the football, a brilliant result and a cracking finish from Zebroski for our first goal. Creating a goal out of nothing, that makes the difference from our earlier games. We must be good on confidence, let's hope we can take this sort of form up to Moss Road tomorrow!

Totally agree with Ospel, leave DTG alone. Glad to have him here he makes me feel better. (oh God, don't know which emoticon to add here! Am I being facetious, truthful or planting my tongue in my cheek? I can't tell myself ... probably all three).
p.s. Can someone please take away the image in my mind of Mr Merson and his priapism?
