That would explain the snow eh! What are the chances of Dagenham actually getting to us on Saturday, if they do make it I imagine it would be a very slow journey!

What is the reality of this game going ahead? I will battle my way down from Wales if it is on but it will be a waste otherwise.
even i do come down, i risk getting stuck (what a shame ;D) because more snow is forecast for sunday

Do you usually just go down from Wales just for the match?

Saturday's game with Dagenham has now been postponed because of a frozen pitch. No doubt Aussie can confirm that conditions are pretty bad as his lady fork has lost a couple of prongs and is now merely a stick!

I have to go to SE4 in the morning---whats it like down your neck of the woods? Forecast looks ok was gonna leave early (before the idiots are about) and hit Londonium around 7am SE4? That's Peckham if memory serves me correctly and you shouldn't be in any trouble coming down the M1/A1 corridor into the City and then crossing the river. It's the hilly bits like Ally Pally, Muswell Hill and Barnet that copped it last night. I was out and about at 5am this morning and driving on dry snow until reaching the main arteries and bus routes where it was all nicely gritted and clear Tom. Delighted to say I am safely back in the East Midlands Merse. Journey went like a dream--up at 0400 and dropped in SE4 at 0645. Main roads were fine but side roads were just like sheet ice and so many cars had just slid into other vehicles. Then back via Hemel Hempstead where again the side roads were a bit dodgy before returning home. Off to Bath and Brizzle tomorrow and forecast looks ok (ish). Sorry just realised I am droning on a bit now.....always like to finsih with a but that makes you go "aaahhhh"...when I got up I realised my wife had left me an "emergency box" to take with me---bless her!! Flask of coffee, crisps, sarnies, mince pies, cough sweets, aspirins (?)----so bloody thoughtful. Nothing was used as it was "just in case" and my mate Ronald Macdonald was working---bless her eh?

Do you usually just go down from Wales just for the match? yep, every other weekend!! That old bridge crossing must "set you back a bit" doesnt it? or do residents get any deals? It has always shocked me how expensive it is to get into South Wales. Obviously from the North its better to go cross country and miss the bridges--but I always use it coming out. Mainly cos its free but I also enjoy "the experience" ---the old one has some sad history as well I believe

Should be lots more just to persuade people like me to return to the mother land ;D i don't know about a sad history for the old bridge but at least one person fell off and died during the construction of the new one

If it`s anything like Plymuffs bridge then it`s probably owned by the French so no-one wins except them! Like most things over here, they get sold off to foriegn investors for a short term fix and this country no longer benifits from it`s assets! Sad really because the one in Plymuff was a I K Brunel creation and should be owned by the British! Having just been corrected it`s the train bridge next to the Tamar Bridge that is IKB`s bridge, I do apologize but the french do own the Tamar Bridge and I`m sure they own the Severn as well!
