Good to hear you were at last year's Junior Cup Final - so was I! I'd always wanted to see a Junior final and, after calling in on Auckinleck at the start of the season (returning from the Olympic matches at Hampden), it made for a neat conclusion to the season. "Eeka Peeka Pukka Po" as they say in those parts. Thought the Lowland League was an interesting development this season. How do people think it's gone? If the play-offs with the Highland League eventually happen it'll be intriguing to see the impact on that level of football. Thinking ahead I wonder if the Highland/Lowland divide will become a controversial wandering line like that between Conference North and South in England? Which league, for example, would you place a relegated Angus club?

"Eeka Peeka Pukka Po" as they say in those parts. Sung like a real local, Sir! At the Junior Cup Final last year from the other side of the ground you would have heard the refrain "Hail, the Gallant Rosey Posey" from the Linlithgow fans! The Lowland League has a good first season but only has Senior non-league clubs, i.e. clubs that are members of the SFA. Spartans FC of Edinburgh were the first champions. However, until the Junior and Senior elements of the non-league scene in Scotland come together it is difficult to see how we can replicate the English non-league pyramid. Each element has its own heartlands throughout Scotland. So in the Highlands the Seniors are stronger but in Ayrshire it is the Juniors. It will take a few years for the changes in the structure to evolve.
