Another football ground picture quiz

I shall be there tomorrow for what looks like an attractive game against Liskeard Athletic, and expecting goals as Ivybridge have started the season with two away games with a total goals count of fourteen! 4-3 win at Falmouth Town followed by a 4-3 defeat at Plymouth Parkway.

Number two is Exmouth who were all set for the Western League this season until they failed a ground grading.

I went to the FA Cup game between Tiverton Town and Plymouth Parkway yesterday but thought Ladysmead would be too easy a picture. 1-0 to Tivvy in a good tight game. My first FA Cup game of the season. I somehow managed a dozen last season across ten successive rounds. Maybe I shouldn't admit to this. I blame the Sheffield clubs for prolonging the sequence.

Alpine Joe may like to know that Comrade Felix was also under the impression that Tiverton Town had lost yesterday. That leads me to the conclusion that, although you are far apart on the political spectrum, you are both reliant on the same news source for much of your information. BBC Sport, I hasten to add, as opposed to Mail Online (even though I believe that media channel may be employing some very talented young journalists these days; one of whom may have been a contributor to this site in the past).

Alpine Joe, for his part, draws my admiration in how he has been able to use this thread to continue his attacks on what he perceives to be the BBC's political correctness. I actually consider this to be a misplaced criticism and hope that, in the spirit of multi-culturalism (I can hear AJ choking as I type the expression), the BBC will provide suitable enthusiastic coverage of today's FA Cup match between FC Romania and Heybridge Swifts.

Alpine Joe and Felix weren't the only disappointed BBC viewers yesterday. Lincoln City fans forums reveal some scepticism about the 'stats' reported by the state's broadcaster from yesterday's game. Our "shots on goal" stats appear to have been grossly over-estimated apparently. 

I'm sure it's tough for Alpine, persecuted as he no doubt is by the BBC, and I do have some sympathy for his position. I think it was Felix who once pointed out that most of the prominent names at the BBC were privately/Oxbridge educated white men, just as they are at every liberal's newspaper of choice, the Guardian. 

It must grate when Joe tunes into Newsnight after a hard day's graft to see this venerable show presented by Evan Davis (Davis being homosexual). Perhaps he should give Davis a second chance however. If he pops over to Amazon, Joe will be able to search for and purchase Mr Davis' 1998 book, Public Spending. In this book Davis offers us a startling solution to nation's economic ills - privatise everything. True, market forces have not been kind to Davis' magnum opus (currently for sale at £0.01), but if nothing else it will offer Joe an opportunity to take a break from the doubtless laborious task of cataloging his collection of Orange Order members photographed holidaying on the North Devon coast
