I had something similar a few years ago whilst playing football down clennon valley. Paid for ticket, stuck it in car window, opened boot to get out my boots and the wind blew off the ticket. Got a fine, appealed and to my surprise won.
Great news for you Dave and well done Staples. Also good to hear my old mate Ricky Grant's unit is doing a good job. I think it was Christmas 93 he lost his fight, but his Mum, Dad and brother Jason did a lot of good work to keep his name in the present.

Only just read this post from Dave. I am absolutely gobsmacked in the response form Staples. They really should be applauded for this.
What a great response from a company which actually didn't need to but chose to show a empathetic face.
Well done Staples

Still It would not have happened If you were still living In Devon mate. I subscribe to www.ticketbusters.co.uk for £9.99 pa for advice on how to appeal these things and they have a 66% success rate. The first thing the firm have omitted to do is issue a pcn, I asked the guy at the pound where it was and he just shrugged his shoulders.................that will do to start an appeal. Dave, is this blatant type of advertising by "Him Who Sits Up High" allowed? I am in a loving relationship with marriage a prospect, to a young lady who "works" on www.tenpoundsandiamyours.com and www.bigbouncyandavailable.com, but would never think of posting web addresses on this site.......? Just put your quotes correct Dave

I know how to treat a lady Kip..........................only last night Bijou was "apologising" for losing her sex drive* due to pregnancy and wondering how I was going to manage until next May. "That's OK" I said, "have you got any mates who aren't getting it!" *That's NOT tearing down the M6 with your 'ole lady holding yer 'ole man! ;D By the way, how did you get on with the Blades up the Arse (ooh missus!) last week....................six goals for a tenner - not bad, eh?

If he needs to subscribe to that lot, he must be a more careless parker than me ;D It's the very number of times I need to stop and the very nature of the places I need to stop that are the problem................not the "carelessness" of it. I recently read that the average person in my occupation pays out an average of £1,300 per annum in pcns (£26 per week). Well I'm not on that figure, but my tally is considerable. It's noticeable, that in my occupation (so far) I have yet to receive a ticket for anything that incurs points...............i.e. speeding or most other moving traffic offences.

Well the good news Is that after today, this story should not happen again for me. Carol after many problems at the hospital today(getting the needles In) had her last chemo, our days and trips to the hospital are far from over, but I really hope that once she gets over todays chemo In about three weeks, things will be much better.
I thank all those who have send me their best wishes via PM and email, having the support even from those I only know on the Internet, has helped me so much.
Many thanks Dave

Dave, i remember a time (elsewhere : as i like to call it!) when on this particular day my partner at the time miscarried. For some reason i came on line and posted what had happened and said i didnt really know why i was posting. But the support i got from friends and 'enemies' i'd made ;D who stood beside us through it all really blew us away and nothing else mattered for a few days.
I'll never forget peoples messages of support and the things they said.
My point?: We are a community, a lot of us have never met but we call each other friends.../(enemies) this community exist because of people like you who have the vision to bring those people together.
You and i remember a post eleswhere stating i would not be welcome over here!!! - well the rest is history. I'm proud to call people like you a 'friend' and we ALL support you. When it is time to stand and be counted in times of need and support we all stand TOGETHER on here.

At the end of the day Dave, when the treatment is done, when the endless trips to hospital are over and those around you have almost forgotten how all enveloping the sickness was, you'll have those happy memories of the warmth and strength that you gained whilst you were uppermost in people's minds. But I tell you what.....................the day you really know it's well and truly behind you is the day one of those same people take you for granted and behave as if it never happened. If that sounds perverse, can I just say that whilst I was recovering from my health scare of three years ago, the day Bijou got in a sulk and complained that I'd sat on my arse watching racing on the telly instead of getting dinner prepared whilst she was out at college was like music to my ears as I really felt that I'd crossed and recrossed the Rubicon and life was back to normal. So come on Dave, look forward to the day you can come in from a day on the road and greet Carol with "Hi darling, where's me dinner?"......................and duck as it flies past you!
