Caught a glimpse of Anne Widdicombe on that Dancing Program - she looked more like Margaret Rutherford

Hardly rabble rousing. Upholding the American Constitution is certainly against the Progressive agenda. But it's not rabble rousing. Surely it's protecting their unalienable rights. Questioning the approach of tyranny? Isn't that a right of a free people? When did I say anything about his "rights"? The fact that you seem to think he's credible says as much about you as it does about him!

I am in complete agreement Oz. Pigeons serve no useful purpose and should be exterminated along with Rats, Traffic Wardens, Feminists, Social Workers, Lefty Teachers, Vegetarians, Mosquitos (god I hate those little buzzy baskets!) MP's (the expense fiddling scumbags), Accountants, Jack Johnson fans and of course Excreta supporters. I thank you! I'm on your list DtG, and I'd very much like to see you try and exterminate me, you sanctimonious, prejudiced, intolerant thingy. Thingy?! That's not what I typed. I typed "T W A T" without the spaces...

What a lovely sound the coo of the pigeon is, a birds that does very well living on crumbs and other things it can find to eat. There is nothing wrong with pigeons or even seagulls for that matter.
What fond memoires I have as a young boy going to London to see the Ice Show at Wembley and standing in Piccadilly Circus having my photo taken with pigeons all over me.
I’m sure the train came in at Piccadilly station and on the left as you entered the station were slums that for a young boy looked rather frightening. Do they still have people selling seeds to feed the pigeons at Piccadilly Circus? I remember so well having to put my arms out and them letting the pigeons land on me. Someone took your photo and you paid to have it sent to you.
Keeping racing pigeons is not something I would do, but many get great pleasure from doing so and it should not be forgotten the role pigeons played in the war. Yes they make a mess on buildings but so what? Take a trip around the harbour late on a Saturday night and see the mess we humans make.
Come and take a look at the grass area I have to walk through ever time I park my car in my garage near the school where I live. Hundreds of empty crisp bags, sweet rubbish and empty pop bottles. Far worse mess than any pigeon will ever make and the difference is they are just doing what we all have to do and that is to get rid of our body waste.
Let’s just leave nature alone, who said it was our job to control all the other species living on our planet. Who said it was our job to cull the ones we don’t like or cull them in the name of sport.
Nature has always done a far better job of looking after itself then we have ever done and so many other species are in real danger of becoming extinct because of they way we are going about living.

I was initially shocked by this pigeon fancier who lives not too far from your self Dave that wants to cull hawks, that is the whole reason I started this thread, I agree humans are crap and make stacks more mess than all the other animals put together. I wasn`t on about destroying all pigeons really it`s more about not hurting other beasties which this loony is hell bent on!

Aussie very surprisingly there are a large number of birds of pray that fly around here. You can often see up to six or seven in the sky sometimes. My point about nature looking after itself was more about the pecking order in the food chain and birds of pray often kill and eat other birds. I watched a program not so long ago about the birds of pray that fly over London and hunt and kill pigeons there, its just nature and while that man may be losing his prized pigeons, no birds of pray should ever be culled. Carol and I love seeing them and one of these days I'm going to get that magic shot of one with my camera.

There should be a cull of all seagulls who live further than (say) 1.2 miles from the sea and heavy (to the power of 100) fines to people who a) afford these flying vermin shelter on their house(s) and b) those that feed them. This would raise money for Mr Bye and the Council - win win win.
